You forgot cruel. Why would you need to stop every federal dollar to evaluate compliance with your policy priorities? It’s like you’re not happy with the rent a tenant is paying you, so you cut off water and electricity to study the fair market rate.

Seems like it's confirmed to be a military helicopter invading the DCA Airspace. If anyone knows DCA, it's one of the tightest airspaces in the country. And it's like 2 miles from the Pentagon. Army Blackhawk Heli that would probably be carrying generals, DOD, or spooks.

This is the type of shit that happens in Russia. Just over a week and we already have it happen in our country after YEARS of safety flying in and out of DCA, a place I'm at almost monthly.

FUCK TRUMP.

tell me that you have no idea how air traffic controllers are hired without telling me that you don't know nothing about the process

in europe, it's one of the hardest jobs to get into. you're either born with the skills or not, there are age limits, absolutely no overtime, the selection process is unimaginably thorough, and they are extremely well paid. i have a pretty smart and quick witted it/coder buddy who applied for the job just out of curiosity, he didn't pass round one. you have to have extremely good short term memory, extremely long attention span, you have to be extremely good at multitasking and at coping with internal and external stress. the performance test is fun but fucking difficult, and that's just round one. only the very best are hired as - like the recent news prove if it wasn't obvious for everyone - lives are at stake

i don't know what and why happened but blaming in on the selection process is most probably wrong
