I'm entertained.

- - - Updated - - -

The first thing that comes to mind is the whole car break-in thing, where people just leave their doors unlocked to avoid have to replace windows OR people doing that and coming back to people sleeping in the back seat sounds wild to me. Also from what I hear, BART is like Mad Max. Yeah sure you'll see some shit occasionally taking any form of MTA transportation, but 90% of the time it's normal. Aside from that, it mostly sounds like every problem we have here, but multiplied.

But again it's just from what I hear, since I've never been there.
WTF

a guy I work with told me California is nothing but illegals, crime and legal pedophilia. He’s currently on a trip to Disney with his entire family

Funny I've always thought the NY subway system is the one that keeps having violent assaults and murders. There's gnarly homeless people on BART but I've never really felt unsafe.

The car windows thing is true for a few certain parts of SF but I just make sure to never leave backpacks or other things that look worth taking visible in my car.

There are a few parts of the Bay Area that certainly look Mad Maxx but its largely contained to a handful of areas I would never visit.

The biggest loser of this speaker fiasco is Ukraine. Aid has been cut from the current CR and McCarthy was supposed to bring it to vote in a separate bill. Nobody knows what will happen now.

Far right? Far out! Shit on GOP all you want, but i know none of you mugs is retarded enough to live in a dem run city. At least I hope you arent :shifty:
It depends on where you're at in said city. Just got back from LA and I barely saw any homeless folks or nonsense whatsoever. Sure, if you go to South Los Angeles, you'll see a lot of sad shit. And while these Liberal cities might not always be well run, it's not rampant across the whole city. But then again, I'm only going to nice areas.

The GOP wouldn't save the cities either. They've done nothing about inflation and would end up scaling back benefits, so chances are it would make things worse. Not that I'm a proponent of handouts. I can't imagine any sensible person would think either of these parties would solve anything at all. Politics are a joke.

As a counterexample look to Vancouver. A lot of Americans seem to describe Canada as paradise, but Vancouver's Downtown Eastside is pretty shocking. Or at least it was to me as a European.

Outstanding. Well done Texas.

Keep busing to the big cities that claim to be sanctuary’s cities or any of the liberal cities. Let them handle it now that it’s at their front door.

I used to volunteer at the community centre on Main and Hastings while attending Uni in Burnaby back in 2006. And friends and I would go drink in dive bars around there on the downtown east side. Wouldn’t even think of doing either of those things now. Main and Hastings was always homeless central, but now it’s a complete mess and super sketchy as far as that goes.

All the same it’s nowhere near as bad as the poor/rough parts of major American cities, nor are the violent crime levels even close.

It’s also a little tiny part of the GVRD, so just like @Bjerknes said, it’s easy to visit any of these major cities and not see any of this stuff. Doesn’t make it less fucked up, but does make it very easy to avoid.

should send them to districts whose representatives voted to cut the border control budget. too easy to constantly blame border issues on liberal and sanctuary cities

Maybe if you are visiting and travel in groups but living there? No it doesn't depend on area anymore, if you live in a dem run city no matter the neighborhood you run a big risk of getting mugged/beaten/killed

id argue that being anywhere not named Provo could possibly lead to death or dismemberment, most like by packs of minorities. if we’re going by statistics

Yeah but they are smart enough to know where to fuck around and where not to. There's a reason why joliet is crime ridden and naperville is not. Or why downtown chicago was safe under Daley and is really not the case now.

If you look at the most dangerous cities in America by violent crime rate the theme seems to be de industrialization and poverty over party politics. Cities like Portland, Seattle and SF get a lot of press for homelessness and property crime but are any of them even in the top 20 most dangerous cities (per capita)?
