Move it all to Mehico - cheap labor, closer to home - lift as many in that area out of poverty as possible so they stop trying to ransack ze border
already happened. manufacturing has been moving from asia to Mexico for well over a decade. And Mexico’s middle class has grown a lot in that time. Unfortunately this is not the case for central and South America

Was there a coup in Bolivia? @IliveForJuve I hadn't noticed
Nope, Evo Morales and his party committed fraud during the 2019 elections which was uncovered by the local software engineers and the civil society and later verified by the OAS. Morales and his cronies were forced to resign and flee the country after 21 days of massive nationwide protests.

Now the commies try to paint it as a coup but it never was. I was there. It was the civil population that got him out.

Elon Musk was just trolling Evo Morales who claimed Musk was involved in the "coup".

All our manufacturing in china should be moved to this region. Period. Enrich people closer to home so we can stop pretending all the USAID we send to central/SA actually solves illegal immigration :)

to be fair I don’t think the USAID mission is to curb immigration. it’s basically to provide stability to nations on the verge which generally equates to emergency food, water, and shelter. a lot of their programs deal with disease, food problems, youth, etc. the USAID budget is around $50 billion spread across the globe. so realistically it’s unlikely that money should be expected to change any nation drastically enough to stop immigration.

It’s possible that a larger scale nafta like agreement may bring about positive change in Central America and possibly, over time, lessen the amount of people crossing the border. But it’s hard to see corporations willing to make significant investment into nations with little to no economic stability, high crime and low education.

Haven't been following the Twitter files story, but the latest story about Twitter assisting the Pentagon with psy ops all around the world is wild, though not surprising, if true. Goes to show how deeply intertwined are the state and media

Except the GOP doesn't want that. You pay higher wages, the product costs more, it's simple. Capitalism doesn't make you want to put money in anyone's hands save for the lobbyists who support your business. Corporate tax should be 40%, but we will never see that as lobbyists will never be paid to do it.

If you want to have anything you said above be true or even plausible, then support local businesses, fuck large corps, be pro union, and stop being scared that a faggot might touch your kid's hand when he returns it to the shitty parent it came from.

The Arab Spring was such a cringey auto-fellatio celebration of social media at the time. I'm glad people have finally caught up.

A similar thing (expectations vs. reality dissonance) always baffled me.

Why the blue collar man votes for conservatives while all that conservatives want is to gift corporations infinite cheap labor supply from brown countries while virtue signaling they're pro working class

Vice versa why the blue collar man votes lefties when instead of protecting his market value all that lefties want is to flood the country with cheap labor supply from brown countries while virtue signaling they're pro working class

America should get some more political parties instead of just the two

It's the same thing since the turn of Man's power over god. The weak are inept an uneducated. When you have nothing, you have only the intangibility that if you will do well in life, then there is this overwhelming sensational thought you may be in the Kingdom of God. Alas, if you have nothing.

There are reasons we care about politician's religion, but not Elon "De Beers" Musk.

The poor have voted against their own best interests in the "don't abort a baby" category for hundreds of years while still proclaiming the party of god. Trust me. The reason it's called "Faith" is because there is no evidence.

Aside.

You're right. The duo-political system is about as useful as the duodenum.

The problem is there is such an overarching amount of monies which go to only the two. They support candidates which tow the party line. Bernie had more HARD support than Hildog even had mediocre support in the 2016 election. But DAMN, we don't want a guy in there who....you know.....might want to change things! We need this dumb, vigin-blood sucking bitch. She will definitely beat this fat, blowhard.

America has the problem between choosing between a doorknob and a blanket every single time it comes to "who makes the best boat?"

Lobbying is the biggest issue and has been since its inception.

We need a Parliamentary system, but we will never get it.

This is the root of all evil in America. You have it everywhere in the world, but it's nowhere as bad as it is in the USA.

Donald Trump Jr who has accomplished nothing of note in his entire life that has been spent sucking on his daddy’s teat, calling Zelensky an “ungrateful international welfare queen.”
Yeah, that was a bit much. I don't understand why they are shitting on us that much. We are degrading the army of your previous arch-enemy (and currently enemy number 2) to rubble using mostly military surplus and stuff that would've needed to be utilized soon anyway. I mean, what's not to like – Russia will be degraded, no American lives lost, no new-ish stuff is used, Finland and Sweden in Nato, Europe slowly starts paying for defense and also comes back under the American wing geopolitically, American weapons are getting the best advertisement possible, and you also get us, Ukrainians, if we win, we can be your fremen army muad'dib, just point us. I see no downside, tbh. I am pretty sure Reagan would've loved this opportunity, and Bushes and Ike probably too.
Anyway, we are really grateful to all who help, especially the common American people and taxpayers. I know life is tough now with Covid and inflation. But we won't ever forget it and will be forever grateful, even if it does not mean much atm. You will get an ally willing to run through walls for you.
