Hello everyone,

I have decided that i want to get me a decent mp3 player. Is there a hard drive based one that will allow you to just copy+paste the music? rather than go through the software and have to "sync"

anyone own one that they are particularly happy with? why?

Cowon iAudio 7. Does what you need and probably has the best audio quality of the lot, plays the most formats as well, including FLAC(lossless). I have the 8gb and it's sweet.

Also, I believe a new line is coming out so you could get this one on the cheap. Look on eBay. Oh and don't mind the pictures, it looks like it's huge but it's actualy miniature. Great player.

Oh and battery lasts for a looooong time. They say 60h, I could swear it lasts even longer.

one thing I would suggest is to regularly format them...backup your songs on your HD so that you can re-add them....all these USB-based mp3 players always get viruses

:D

You still have that picture. TBH, I still never even tried playing a video file on my iAudio 7, it seems pointless.

You have to hold it really still or it's unusable. :D Say you're lying in bed and holding it up with one hand, the slight shake from your hand is enough to be so disruptive that you can't really watch it. :D

It's like watching an ant farm or a stream on bet365.com
Thank you for bringing that up. That puts it in perspective indeed.
