Knowing you people I read it back and I suddenly realized the obvious innuendo, frankly surprised you took so long to say it, I thought vlatko would. :p

If you really wanna make your experience worthwhile, buy proper earphones for it. The standard earphones you recieve with any player are probably worth 3$ and sound awful. I bought myself Westone UM1's(about a 100$) and the sound quality between them and the standard ones is...heaven and earth. ;)

headfi.org is a sick place to get headphone/earphone information. The usual recommendations for entry level earphones are Ultimate Ears Super Fi 3, Westone UM1, Audio Technica ATH-CK7. But that's just for the in-ear models, there are also earbuds, neck-bands, etc.

The seed is planted, have fun. :p

    you rich bastard!
LOL, couldn't be further from the truth. You probably spend more on gas per month, feeding those 2 beasts of yours, than I spent on audio equipment in the last 5 years.

I sort of consider myself an audiophile but it's hard to be one without serious cash, especially in Croatia. I want to buy a entry-level hi-fi system for about 1.5K Euro during the last 2 years but I just can't save up enough cash. I suck with money. I'll probably buy it on credit after the summer is over.

This is what I'm aiming for:
Tangent Amp + CDP + Tuner and these speakers. Sounds freaking amazing.

After that I'm gonna get myself a proper Technics turntable and will never leave my room again.

I know you all couldn't care less about all that, I just wanna talk about Audio with someone. :p

Looks kinda 80s that stuff, brushed metal :D
    That's the idea. :eyebrows:

Hi-fi components are actually the best from 80's, even older, but to find something in good condition is damn near impossible in Croatia. And if you do, it's horribly expensive. This new Tangent line is great value for the money and sounds excellent.

Snoop, how bout these earphones. Retail around 1150$. :p

just get an ipod, stop hating on apple and accept its stronghold on the market
Can it play FLAC? No. Can you install it without iTunes and other crap software? No. Does it have superiour audio reproduction? No. Good enough reasons for me.

iPod is simply hip, nothing more.
