I make about 4 stupid mistakes in a row and buggered up my computer today, and had to reinstall everything :irritate:

I'm proud to report though, that this gave me the incentive to finally switch to Firefox v1.0, since before I couldn't be stuffed changing from Mozilla because I didn't want to have to install of the extensions and set all my preferences again. I'm absolutely loving it; it's noticably faster and much the same as Mozilla but.. better :D

(CNN) -- Microsoft's dominance of the Web browser market faces a fresh challenge on Tuesday with the release of the final version of Mozilla's Firefox browser.

The Mozilla Foundation, a California-based non-profit organization dedicated to developing open source software, hopes Firefox 1.0 will attract millions of users away from Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

Last month more than eight million people downloaded the preview edition of the browser, contributing to its final development.

Like other open source software, such as the operating system Linux, Firefox's code is freely available for any programmer to examine and improve.

Mozilla has already made inroads into Explorer's share of the browser market. According to the Web usage tracker WebSideStory, Microsoft's share has slipped to 92.9 percent from 95.5 percent since June. In the same period Mozilla's share increased from 3.5 percent to six percent.
Good news for Mozilla and Open Source supporters. :D

v1.0 is quite nice, still get lockups loading pages though, anyone else have that?
I have the v1.0 preview release. It sometimes doesn't load the home page when I start it up, but that's the only 'problem' I've had with it.

I assume that 'Netscape' is actually Mozilla/Firefox. It's making a visible impact here. Not really surprising given the campaign in this thread, but nice to see.

Yeah I saw that too, looking good. Though I can't help but think half the hits for Netscape were generated by Graham.. :D

Im using it because the multi tab is handy. It is slower for certain sites though than IE. Example sending a gmail email with attachment, uploading an image on imageshack.us

    Its annoying.
