Hm.. Did you get the latest version? And what is your Windows version (says it should work with 98+)?

I couldn't find anything about this on the mozilla site, nor in bugzilla :eyepatch:

I don't know, it does that for me. Are you talking about Firebird or regular Mozilla?

Here's where you get your money back (figuratively speaking). Does IE have any kind of pop up killer functions? No, not by a long shot. If you want to get rid of the pop ups you have to install 3rd party software which is usually buggy and doesn't work very well, plus it's another program running on your computer needlessly. Mozilla has a built in function to block pop up windows, it will even ask you if you want to turn it on the first time it encounters a pop up. It also gives an option not to block all popups, just the ones you don't want. So if you click on a link and that triggers a popup, it will pop up because you clicked, but it will not pop up by itself. Now you can surf soccerage.com and juventus.com without dealing with the painful popups.
Ok here's the problem... i'm using Mozilla Firebird currently, but still getting god damn pop ups by internet explorer.

And i have checked the web features of mozilla, the pop up box is ticked.

do you think its because i got the Firebird and not the original one?

I use Firebird and everything's okay.

Those pop-ups most propably are a result of some adware you've got on your hd. And since you can't properly uninstall iexplorer those adware-progs find it and launch it.

What's the difference between Firefox and Mozilla?

Mozilla (Application Suite, also known as SeaMonkey) is a complete suite of web related applications, such as a browser, a mail/news client, a chat client and much more. Firefox is just a browser, which makes it a better choice if you already have a mail client for example. Also, since Firefox is smaller than the whole Mozilla suite, it's faster and easier to use.

Note, though, that Firefox is not just the standalone Mozilla browser. The user interface in Firefox differs from Mozilla in many ways. For example, Firefox has customizable toolbars.
