keanu reevs, or whatever his name is spelled, cannot act for shit. such a good movie, great story, completely ruined by his bad acting. fuck, they even had references to him being "the one" in the movie

it looks like a training day kinda film. i haven't seen it yet and don't intend on it but it looks like a cheap knock off. and you're right, the only movie i enjoyed from keanu reeves was bill & ted

kanue reeves in speed made me ralise that in hollywood you can be a shit, talentless, piece of drywall and still get acting parts. the bit where he turns round and says "we're all gonna diiiee" (think it was when the bus jumped the bridge FFS) has to go down as one of the worst pieces of acting anywhere, ever, yes even porn acting is better

I was sheriff of this county when I was twenty-five years old. Hard to believe. Grandfather was a lawman. Father too. Me and him was sheriffs at the same time. Him up in Plano and me out here. I think he's pretty proud of that. I know I was. Some of the old-time sheriffs never even wore a gun. Lot a folks find that hard to believe. Jim Scarborough never carried one. That was the younger Jim. Gastone Boykins wouldn't wear one up in Camanche County. I always like to hear about the old-timers. You can't help but compare yourself against the old-timers.

Indeed. That movie reminds me of trips to my Uncles place in the early 90s in Abilene. I've memorized most of that opening monologue and Old Men is my favorite movie right now.
