watched american gangster and though it was a good movie i see what the guys were talking about with the pointless sub-plots, far too many pieces of the story did not go anywhere. otherwise it was well acted and an enjoyable movie but was at leats 25 minutes too long.

sat and watched donnie brasco again last night, funny to see al pacino put in a tremendous performance playing a loser

Goal 2.

I so fucking hate such predictable movies..They make the main character look like a cross over between Maradona,Pele,Platini,Ronaldo,Cruyff and Muller. And you always know what the end will be.The player will be in bad shape before the final, his team will be losing with 5 minutes to go,his coach will have a sudden testicle expansion so he'll take a risk by putting the player on,who'll guide the team to victory and the world will live happy ever after.
Spot on. What's sadder, I actually enjoyed part 1. :frown:

What? Part 1 was an entertaining film in a genre where it's impossible to make a proper film. Name me one good soccer film!

They all suck because they all focus on the soap opera bs instead of making it about the sport and actually showing the game.

This actually reminds me of an Italian movie I saw once, which was totally unrelated to football. But the characters went to a Juve game, which was just supposed to be part of their daily life routine, but apparently they had no rights to actually show any footage from the match, so the camera was pointed from the pitch into the stands. :wallbang: Then when Pippo scored they caught a glimpse of his celebration and that was all, couldn't show the goal apparently. :lazy:

Thanks.I`ve been giving too much rep so you`ll get it later. :p It sounds like boxing movie. :D
I have to spread it around as well :D No, it's not even close to a boxing movie, it's a strange comedy/drama from Sweden.
