I'm not sure which movie to see this evening, there is "after the Sunset", "Cellular" and "the Forgotton".. which one do you recommend..??

and Vit, don't miss the chainsaw massacre.. it's a great movie.. watch it.. watch it..
The Forgotten. It was pretty good IMO, then again, a lot of people didn't like it.

Really depends on the type of movies you like. I'd take 'wierd' over action anyday.

Thanx majed.. I think I'm gonna see the forgotton..

btw, is Alexander released in the US..??
no problem :)

Yes. It is.

Of all the people I know who've seen it, they say it was a bit dissapointing. Not as good as Troy.

and do you consider Troy as good..??
Yes. it wasn't Braveheart, Gladiator, or the Patriot but i think Troy was a very good and worth watching movie. I didn't mind that there were many historical inaccuracies.

well, I think it wasn't that bad, but what dissapointed me most was that "it could've been much better".. they completely ignored the roles of gods in this epic.. and Brad Pitt is totally not suitable for historical roles.. sorry.

Naah.. I'm glad they didn't bring anything to do with their 'gods'
Brat Pit did well actually. I can't think of an actor who would have been much better suited for that role.

But i agree. It could have been better.

Yes, i think Troy was definitely worth a second watch. Infact, irrespective of the historical ignorances, i think it was a brilliantly made movie.

Havent seen Alexander, but its reviews dont seem to be saying much for the movie.

I was so bored, that I watched it... actually there was some good moment: in the beginning og the movie, when they were singing "Sweet home Alabama"

btw: was the movie based on real events??

Hector was definitely worth a second watch, maybe third and fourth as well.

The movie wasnt THAT bad as I supposed it to be, so I rather enjoyed it.
Maybe cause I decided to enjoy it before watching, I just thought to myself: it's just a Hollywood's Troy, not real one, so look at cinematographer's work, they always do great in such movies.
Otherwise I would be bored and pissed off, cause I cant stand movies with historical ignorances.

Alexander was different and Oliver Stone really did something 'different' with that movie. You'll either love it or hate it.
Stone has this amazing ability to take historical people and stories and make them repulsively self-indulgent. :yuck:

I haven't been able to stomach an Oliver Stone film since I was foolish enough to step into a theater to see Nixon several years ago. To this day, they're still wiping my vomit off the curtains.
