The problem with the concusssion problem is that it makes the sport in itself very flawed - in the case of football it's only the organisations that are massively corrupt and shady, nothing wrong or harmful with the activity itself.

Football's problem can be fixed (theoretically), and there's nothing wrong with it as a mass sport for the youth. With American Football, not so much.
I don't disagree with any of that. My reason for commenting on Mohad's post in the first place was because he highlighted the NFL, not the sport, and because his way of reasoning didn't make much sense to me. It seemed revisionist. :D

Anyway, while american football is undoubtedly flawed, there's no reason why it should be banned - as long as the players are aware of the dangers of the sport. It's not worse than, say, boxing. It's more tricky, as you also mention, when we're talking about children playing the sport.

Wasn't really commenting on your debate, more on the matter itself :D

And yeah, I agree that if everyone involved knows the risk, there's no problem in itself - bar maybe children.

Fox Apologizes For 'X-Men: Apocalypse’ Chokehold Ad

In a statement, Fox said: “In our enthusiasm to show the villainy of the character Apocalypse, we didn’t immediately recognize the upsetting connotation of this image in print form. Once we realized how insensitive it was, we quickly took steps to remove those materials. We apologize for our actions and would never condone violence against women.“

So sick of the whole world being so sensitive and easily offended. The image may be offensive to some but there are more important things to bitch about.

Why did you watch it is very good question, that is if you watched the trailer. I usually have low bar for fleeting entertainment but this trailer was such an epic train wreck that I laughed at the never ending Uwe boll plus Michael Bay quality to it.

I watched two Muhammad Ali documentaries. One about his fight against Foreman in Africa and one about Muhammad's big fights from the perspective of his opponents. Both very good.

I recommend you watch "Thrilla in Manila" documentary mate! It is about Ali's toughest fight ever.....it was against Joe Frazier in 74' I think in the Philippines ...where Joe Frazier was about to literally die on the ring and gave Ali the hardest fight (damn those left hooks from Frazier  ) You will see some real ugly shit from Ali before and during the game! It's a movie that actually made me change my mind about him and made me really respect Frazier!
