Which type you wanna see?
Drama.

Dreyer's silent movie La passion de Jeanne d'Arc from 1928 about Joan of Arc is a masterpiece. Its way ahead of its time and features one of the best acting performances of all time.
Bresson's Journal d'un curé de campagne from 1951 is another option. The movie follows a country priest with stomachache during a period of doubt about God.
Maybe Drifters from 1929 is more you. It's about the story of Britain's herring fishing industry.D
Fuck you.

The Town, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Double Indemnity, Omoide no Mânî, 12 Angry Men, Casablanca, It's a Wonderful Life, Chinatown, Sibirskiy tsiryulnik, Immortal Beloved, Notorious, The Princess Bride.
Good look getting Klin to watch half of those. :D

Yes, I liked it a lot. A true nail-biter. Not perfect, but can't really say what I don't like about it without spoiling it.

Thanks man. I actually watched a couple of those already. I'll go with 10 Cloverfield Lane and The Bridge on the River Kwai.

I finally watched Eyes Wide Shut. As a big Stanley Kubrick fan, I couldn't believe I'd put it off for so long. I really rate Tom Cruise as an actor as well, despite any shortcomings he has as a public figure.

It's bloody strange. It finishes with a lot of loose ends for the viewer to mull over and tie up themselves. What I took out of it was a pretty bold statement about sex-obsession and the dark road a culture like that can lead us down. Tom Cruise is trying so hard to fit into a world that he really wishes he didn't need to. He's a very easy character to empathize with if you're not Tiger Woods or Charlie Sheen or something.

It disturbed me so much I straight away put on North with a young Mr. Frodo. Bruce Willis looks so funny in that rabbit suit. It put me in a relaxed mood before bed. I recommend it highly.

So what didn't you like about it?
:::
10 Cloverfield Lane is much better than the original Cloverfield. :D And what made it so great was exactly that it wasn't anything like the original.
That's why I thought the ending kind of ruined it. The movie was great because it was a character based drama. The rushed battle against the aliens was anything but that. It was much more nerve-racking to see her fight Goodman's character.
