I read 500-600 pages of Sandman. I can see why everyone says it'd be hard to pull of a movie like that. So far I like it but it's not brilliant as I thought it would be. Still, there are 1500 more pages and I expect it to be great later on. I also expect a pretty big mind fuck. From what I've read it has a huge potential.

This animated movie looks great

I'm gonna watch Inside Out tonight.

As I said before, Neil Gaiman projects tend to be cursed :p

Anyways I hope netflix/HBO buys rights to it, this should be done as series not single movie.
Agreed. It would be a pity to make a movie out of something so big/complex. Netflix picking it would be awesome.

I watched Inside Out last night. It was really amazing. Pretty unique, clever and a creative way to show levels of subconscious in the most simplistic way. I think both Freud and Jung are turning in their grave but it was very enjoyable to watch.

Yes you got it. There are great animated movies, Like mary and max, but inside out is a teen, pre teen chick nonsense. It's a movie you would go with a little sister, but watch it alone and say it was amazing  Try lilo and stich next maybe?

@Völler

Steve Jobs had fantastic acting and good script, but story/narrative choice was bit tedious and bit boring in long run. Carried by Fassbender force of nature presence.

Kajaki tho, what a marvelously intense war movie... So well done in human level. You could truly feel their agony and hopelessness. My father got visibly pissed they didn't have good support and ranted about his army days in similar scenarios hehe.

Haven't seen Mary and Max now when you mention it. I've seen the trailer and I hated the animations. I hate that sort of stuff, I see it on the new cartoons when I switch TV channels and I find them disgusting. Completely honest btw, not trolling.

Inside Out is great for many reasons. Unique and very creative. Sure, it's not a deep movie but it's surely enjoyable. I'm personally not ashamed of watching it at all. If anything, I can totally see why it was nominated for the Oscar. And it won the award.

Kajaki is so good. It's such a simple setup, but it's so effective. You're never able to relax because you know shit's about to happen anytime. Also, a war movie without an enemy is a pretty rare thing.

Das it.

Raz is too concerned with what he's supposed to like. :D It's ridiculous to think you shouldn't be able to enjoy a movie just because you aren't its target audience. Also, while Inside Out is obviously made with children in mind, there are plenty of things in it that only adults will understand.

I thought Inside Out was garbage. I found it simple to the point of stupidity and not in an overly amusing way. And I like a large number of animated films. Was actually looking forward to this one, but was super disappointed when I saw it.

As far as Best Animated Feature goes, the last 3 years have been won by nonsense films.

2015: Inside Out instead of Boy and the World or When Marnie was There or Anomalisa.

2014: Big Hero 6 instead of Song of the Sea or Tale of Princess Kaguya... Massive

2013: Frozen instead of The Wind Rises or Ernest and Celestine... another massive

That's fine. I just think it's retarded to laugh at someone for watching animated movies. Even Inside Out. It makes no sense.

I didn't see that. That's lame to say. I watched it by myself. I watch a ton of animated movies by myself, as you well know. :D

I love the old Disney animated movies that are 100% for kids. Robin Hood with the animals is amazing. As are Sword in the Stone, Alice and Wonderland, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, etc.
