It was one of the first "grown up" movies I watched when I was a kid and I thought it was awesome back then. Liv Tyler hotness, Bruce Willis badass, great soundtrack and it was top of the line visuals for me.
As I've grown older I keep watching it once per year, now I enjoy it for the same reasons but also for the perfectly delivered cliches, the entire scene with Liv Tyler and Affleck before he leaves is pure genious.

Armageddon was a disaster of a movie.
Plus Fifth Element is 10X the movie in terms of Armageddon/meteor coming, even though it's not a very good movie either.

You willingly watch a movie with Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler once a year? Oh dear. You really should hope an actual Armageddon arrives in the next couple years to save you from those annual hours of suffering.

Nah. Of course they're nothing alike. He said Comet/Armageddon. Both are comet/armageddon. Even if they are nothing alike, his description certainly fits both.

When I said "meteor/comet" I was talking about the actual disaster movies about comet hitting the earth in the "realistic" way. Meanwhile the 5th Element is an over the top movie full of aliens, ancient evils, spaceships, other planets, campy characters etc. The thing that wants to hit Earth is also not a comet but some kind of evil god or whatever .

Bruce Willis and potential end of the world collision with the earth is about it for similarity.
5th Element is way better though! And Milla Jovovich is so much hotter than Liv Tyler.
Saw Avengers Age of Ultron last night.
Man, i hate it when watching sequels or any movie with too high of an expectation, it really just gets you disappointed.
Wasn't that great, just good, probably a 7/10 for me. It seem like there was too much unnecessary actions, and forced dialogues, it was great seeing Vision though and hearing James Spader.
Still worth seeing it in the cinema, but really could have been much much better!

I enjoyed Timbuktu a lot, especially how it doesn't have an obvious agenda, but looks at both the jihadists and the civilians without obvious bias. It really shows that the director isn't some American know-it-all, but a native. It doesn't hurt that it's an extremely beautiful looking film either. Highly recommended.
