The third Hobbit film was cool and all, but I couldn't help thinking the entire time. Why couldn't this have been 2 movies?

Pretty much consists of an hour of talking and an hour of battle.
Either this is a hilarious joke or I didn't understand it right. You want to split up the third movie into two, making the whole series 4 movies long? :D

I watched the first because everyone went mad about them, the second because I was visiting people abroad and the they had already planned it. The third because, well I saw the first two so to end the whole thing. I slept in the movie theatre. The Hobbit movies I simply did not get near. No, they are not for me.
:agree: I think the books are even worse.

Or no movies at all.
how does this affect you in anyway? how is this relevant to your daily life?

just to make it clear, i have not watched the movies and have no interest in doing so

I think you could rather easily cut together the second and third Hobbit movie, perhaps adding a few extended edition scenes as well, to make one really great 3-4 hours movie. The editing on these movies was woeful, so many unnecessary scenes while leaving out a lot of important and interesting ones.
you are probabbly right. but who was extra 1 billion in profit?

Yup, would've worked much better that way. Though I actually felt there was little to no fluffing going on in the third.
Yeah, most of the fluff was in the first two. We definitely could have done without the 40 minute "meet the dwarves/sing a long/toss bilbo's pots" scene in the first movie.

I know it is bon ton nowadays to make that sort of statement, but I hope you do realise that it's completely irrelevant. Whether there are two or three movies doesn't affect Enron either. You made a feeble attempt at sounding wise by regurgitating an overused nonsensical phrase.

The pots tossing was one of the highlights of the first one yo

Haven't seen the third one yet, it's become a Christmas tradition past years so will see it tomorrow.
