I don't think so, it's a magnificent film, Scorsese Di Caprio, Sheen,Nicholson and even Wahlburg,Damon and Winstone, Baldwin had a good show too.


One of the rare times in recent history where to Oscars have got it spot on.


It's not The Third Man or The Godfather but dammit if it isn't a masterpiece of grit and simplicity masking hidden depths.

I liked the movie a lot too, i just wouldn't be so fast in calling it one of the best in all time.
Populate a list of 25 films in your head that are, I'm sure the departed is arguably on par with a few of them.

It's up there with Jaws,Apocalypse Now and Goodfellas.


It's not quite top 10.
