SO i had a load of mates over last night, usualy friday kind of thing, drinking in the kitchen and talking about tits and stuff :shifty:

After most of them left the last four of us decided to watch a film and we went for a double feature - Six Shooter & In Bruges

I know i have rated In Bruges a lot in here before. But it truly is one of THE best films of the decade, some of the scenes are beatifully constructed scenes, such as Brendan Gleesons suicide on top of the tower with Raglan Road playing. It is often argued that for a black comedy really to work is needs to strike a balance between emotion and comedy and i think that In Bruges performs extraordinarily when it comes to this.

I can't rate the film highly enough, i would advice everyone watches it, and when you've watched it once watch it again. :hellyes: :hellyes: :hellyes:

I just watched Brødre, the Danish version of Brothers

The thing is, one has to easily leave it to the Danes to make such movies. Now I haven't seen the US remake yet but I can't imagine it would be as strong as its Danish version.

I haven't seen much of Bergman I'm afraid and I should honour him more. As for other Swedish film makers there is no noticeable ones as Ingmar. And to be honest, when it comes to modern cinema, I very much prefer the Danish industry.

I agree. One of the best action/comedy films I've ever watched

---

Green Zone: Had it been released 4-5 years ago it would have made one hell of a movie but since they opted to release it in the freakin 2010 when the issue of the Iraqi claimed wepons of mass destruction story is long time known to everyone, this movie makes no sense and the action scenes starts to tick in the end when the viewer is half an hour before was making his mind on hiting the eject buttom.

Repomen:
I liked it, a decent action movie and as I've always said, Jude Law is class and this movie just adds to the tally.

Orphan:
A good thriller with an interesting plot. If you're looking for a different thriller than the usual boring serial killer BS, then this is the movie you're looking for.

The Book Of Eli: I hated it. I reached the point when I was actually checking the clock every couple of minutes. I wish I hadn't read Hoori's comments on it now
