the thing I hate about DiCaprio lately is that he appears to be too eager to get that damn oscar, it's like he's deliberately picking scripts thinking "whoa man, maybe this is it", and over-acts all the time because of it.

Maybe it's just me....
What the fuck is wrong with that? As an actor you should go for movies you believe in. If you think your movie can win an oscar because it's good, that's fine with me.

I been dying to see it BECAUSE of In Bruges, its the brother of the guy who did In Bruges, plus the great Gleeson.

I just saw Moneyball, lovely movie  Fascinated vieiwing, partly because I read so much about him earlier this year (due to football funnily enough, he seems obbsessed with it and his brand of statistic reached footie, EPL in particular), but overall fine and moving sports story.

Iwo Jima was great, it feels like it is a totally different director from The Flags of Our Fathers.
Agree completely.

Didn't know that the two brothers had directed both movies? Just after watching the bit with gleeson and the bell-tower, always get a lump in the throat at that part.

Just finished True Grit. Well done ! 3.5/4

I wouldn't say it's better than The Unforgiven - but it's damn close. Jeff Bridges is really gritty, I loved his performance.

Yeah, thats the dark part of the dark comedy in that classic of a movie. Choked up a bit. And yeah both movies done by two brothers, boths film feature debutes with both movies, only done (award winning) short movies prior to them. The one who done In Bruges is a playwright, must be brilliant one with the tone and dialogue of in bruges.

The playwright one 2nd movie is called Seven Psychopaths, look at this cast hehe (though mainly excited for the Christopher Walken bit hehe):
