The Men Who Stare at Goats, when i saw the cast i thought probably a wonderful movie was waiting for me but that wasnt like i expected, yeah there were some good laughings but story wasnt that good i mean the director couldnt involve you into the movie, story telling wasnt good enough.. but Jeff Bridges was ok:tup:

When Clooney said to McGregor: "We are Jedi!" I had to laugh so hard the whole movie could have been shit after that but I would still love it.:lol2: And I love this movie:D

I think you are generalizing all Somalis with your statement, which I find it wrong. You mentioned the language, but you forgot the most important thing "tribes".
No I'm not, scusi if it comes out that way, but I'm talking about ethnicity and somali people in general, we are alll the same people (more or less), tribes and clan system that is 300% the reason for all the heartache is another matter (and even those who hate eachother the most wouldnt say otherwise). Didnt mention that because its not relevant to general ethnicity (atleast in this case). Tons of people who are the same ethnic group who have complicated clan/tribal makeups that divide them (we just happend to prolly the worst case scenario of it).

I love it when people use the phrase :gsol: Graphic Novel :gsol:

:howler:
Yeah it may sound pretentous but the distinction needs to be made, not because it means more quality (though usually does), comic books are more of serials, continuous and 1-issue with just dozens or so pages per thin papered issues series (magazines). Graphic novels is bit different, it used too broadly and generally to showcase difference of artistic value (subjective use), but in essene its a practical use for it.

Simple put unlike the above, is not an ungoing series, more one shot book, done in book material, usually experimental style, but also typical comic style too. But essentially its 1 shot story mainly, and usually as many pages as a typical book (instead of a brief issue like a comic).

Have both comic books and graphic novels, slightly different formats, to have V for Vendetta with its 300 or so pages, with an issue of Ultimate Avengers which is like 30 pages or so.

Capital City, Mogadishu, most relatives prolly from Bosaso though I think.

On a weirdly related note, I have heard rumours there is a movie planned for Mohammed Abdullah Hassan aka the Mad Mullah :D Weird, cant see how it can be done.

The Proposal, already seen and enjoyed it, but first 20min. Sandra Bullock's character have very resemblance with Miranda Priestly (The Devil Wears Prada) and i thought "meh" but after starting Alaska part the character got rid of it and enjoyment came out.. :martini:
