Shutter Island, I really liked it because I was completely immersed in it the whole way.

Hurt Locker, I like it but at the same time I don't see what the big fuss is, I think I've seen better war movies, but those are made in other countries though,

I liked The Blind Side but also think it's overhyped because it's the type of movie you'd watch on HBO, I like Sandra Bullock but that's not GREAT acting

well, that's what I think anyway. VERY upset I missed out on My Name Is Khan

Funny People - I thought it would be crap, as most Sandler movies are, but was surprisingly good.

If you replace Sandler with Judd Apatow i would agree with you, but Sandler back in the 90s was a great comic actor - Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison etc. They arent films to write an essay on but they are funny and easy going watchable films. Judd Apatow is just horrible.

Hurt Locker - It was OK but not really great
completely agree

Watching America Pyscho last night, fucking brilliant film, i dare say its Bales best role to date(having yet to see The Machinist) & I watched Snatch afterwood, fairly standard
:agree: Its amazing and so is Bale's performance definatly his best. The Machinist is quite good but not great.

:agree:  I liked it especially Eric Bana's performance which i thought was really funny.

I have yet to see Funny People but from what i have read it is two very different films that could work well together in one but it comes across very awkwardly. There is one film which is a comedy about a man dying (iirc) and passing on his comedy onto a younger person and the second one is a drama piece about a man dying coming to terms with it. I remember reading that it was essentially a rip from a film with de niro in it called 'King Of Comedy' which was dirrected by Martin.
