Its well done and portraits a piece of rock history. You need to sit through a lot of "digital bad, analogue good" bs, but as a fan of almost every person in the movie I enjoyed it.

I think it's kind of obnoxious and out of touch in a little way, not all musicians can afford to spend time in (tape) recording studios with Neve consoles and the like, but still fairly good nonetheless.

I also love it when they're jamming in Grohl's home studio, straight to tape. They're all like "Oh yeah, it sounds AWESOME dude".
