but everyone says we are a team full of average players+some youngers and a bunch og old school players like gigi neddy camo ale and trez...they say we dont have quality and nobody counts us as an european superpower like real barca man united chelsea liverpool inter milan etc...:frown: we aint the Juve it used to be before the bloody scandal
to be fair, Capello's Juventus was UNBELIEVABLE...probably the best squad I have seen since I have been a Juve fan...every single player on our starting XI would make the starting lineup of an all star XI...if you notice, even Lippi's Juve had some crucial players that were not WC i.e. Tacchinardi, Pessotto, Jugovic, Toricelli etc...so IMO the names are not so important, it's the collective group which makes the difference

Jugovic was world class. You probably remember him as an Inter player where he was old and given some stupid defensive tasks, but for us he was pure gold. With him and Zidane in our midfield, our strikers had the easiest job in the world. Not counting Zidane, we didn't have a midfielder with such vision in the last 10 years. Even technically no Juve midfielder but Zidane and Camo can compete with Jugovic.

And even with that world class squad, Capello still couldn't make a fair run in the Champions League with us, which is why he's an overrated jerk-face.

Exactly, I was gonna say what the hell?

I would love to see a midfield such as this again:

Jugovic - Conte/Sousa - Deschamps

That midfield had class, everyone knew how to move the ball and it was sound defensively. I'd love to have something like that with the trident once again.

i wonder if he will play a minute in this derby...anyways he can bring more than tiago/poulsen.
he can bring more than any of our cm`s can, even if we put nedved here. only camoranesi in our team posess such vision and passing. hopefully he will say his word in coppa italia - our most important tournament left in this season.

Since it's the most useless game ever, lets play this lineup:

Manninger

Zebina Knezevic Grygera

Marchionni Tiago Zanetti Ekdal De Ceglie

Chimenti Molinaro

Osman

A journeyman in his career and people might remember that more since he didnt have a lasting stay anywhere, but was totally top class player that made the midfield smooth and balanced. One of my best Juve memories is his deciding pk in the CL final  And ooooh, ofcourse our tennis game against Milan.... :D
