Gyan has his moments of brilliance, but i would not consider him one of the best players in the tournament, he is just too wasteful and his decision making can be atrocious at times. He's lucky to have a strong, compact midfield behind him, all in all i off the top of my head i can think of at least 4-5 strikers that have been better than him in the tournament.
