Dortmund has taken back a contract offer to Metzelder since he hasn't decided to sign it yet. A club change is very likely now. Acording to German media Inter Milan is in front line to sign him.

Ieri a Dortmund è accaduto qualcosa di importante, che potrebbe avere riflessi significativi anche sul mercato di casa nostra. E' diventato praticamente ufficiale quello che già si paventava da tempo in casa tedesca, ovvero a fine stagione Christoph Metzelder lascerà il Borussia.

Il 26enne difensore ha deciso di non rinnovare il contratto che lo legava al club giallonero e che scadrà a giugno. "Gli abbiamo dato abbastanza tempo per considerare la nostra offerta, ora dobbiamo pensare a noi e alla prossima stagione", ha commentato il direttore sportivo del Borussia Dortmund, Michael Zorc.

Metzelder diventa dunque uno dei parametri zero più appetiti del mercato europeo, e tra le big in lizza per accaparrarselo ci sono anche le nostre Inter e Juventus. Il Corriere dello Sport di oggi ipotizza che il club bianconero, in vantaggio per aver anticipato la concorrenza fiutando l'affare, potrebbe tirarsi indietro favorendo i nerazzurri, ovviamente non gratis et amore.

Obiettivo della galanteria sarebbe un altro difensore, quel Walter Samuel già nel mirino di Secco & Bettega, cui a quel punto l'Inter potrebbe ben rinunciare, cedendolo alla Juve...

If you mean we get Samuel and Inter get Metzelder, I think the only winner in such a deal, without a doubt, would be Inter. Simply, because Metzelder is better than Samuel, yet the former is injury prone. Besides, Metzelder is younger and free.

Juve and Milan are ready to battle it out for the services of Stuttgart striker Mario Gomez, according to reports in Italy.
The Spanish-born player currently leads the scorers’ charts in the Bundesliga and has attracted the interest of several European clubs, including the Italian outfits who have allegedly contacted the forward’s agent.
Gomez grew up in Stuttgart’s youth system and made his debut with the first team in 2004-05, after impressing then Coach Giovanni Trapattoni.
The 21-year-old has scored 13 goals in 22 matches this season and has also won an international call-up with Germany.
He debuted with the national side against Switzerland on February 7 and netted the second goal in the 3-1 win.
Stuttgart, however, do not seem keen on letting the player quit the club on the cheap as confirmed by sporting director Horst Heldt.
“Gomez will stay with us, unless we receive a £17m offer,” declared the official.
Juve and Milan seem interested in the individual, but neither are ready to make a bid anywhere near his asking price.
