i think 40 million is a lot, i thought we wouldnt be able to spend anything come this summer once we got relegated.

considering we have got grygera and salihamidzic on free...we could get Metzelder, Faty and Pizarro on a free also. All we really need to do is buy a star midfielder, a star central defender and possibly a replcement for trezeguet if he was to leave.

I think 40 million million may be enough.

seems like Juventus had on option to buy gladstone for a small fee, but the management rejected him:wallbang:

some sites name him a juve player who went on loan to verona
but now he's with cruzeiro(im not sure if they bought him back)

Gygera, Salihamidzic....and Metzelder plus Pizarro would be an awesome freebie sweep. We could make plenty of roam for sales already.

How bout a chance of luring Milan's Gourcuff? Anypossibility there? I've seen him play a few times, and he seems quite promissing.

I would let Trez leave for a good fee.

Juventus chief Secco: We need Vieira-clone
tribalfooball.com - February 06, 2007

Juventus director general Alessio Secco admits they're chasing a 'Patrick Vieira clone' for next season.
Bordeaux's Rio Mavuba and Liverpool ball-winner Momo Sissoko have both been linked with Juve and Secco said: "We're burning the midnight oil to find a new midfielder. Someone like Emerson, in fact more like a Vieira clone, we really need to make this happen.

"We are sifting through Italy and Europe. We're ready to invest big in this."
