Montero Confirms Juve Exit
6/20/2005 7:37:00 AM
The Uruguayan defender is set to play in La Liga next season.
Paolo Montero’s holidays have already ended as the player is training on his own to be ready for his national side’s next World Cup qualification matches.

The player is currently also looking for a new team as he is not going to renew his current Juve deal which expires at the end of June. His wish is that of playing for two more years in Europe, possibly Spain, then end his career with Penarol, the club which launched him onto the international scene.

Montero: You will always be missed, remembered for you're great performances:touched:

Two more years in Europe, in Spain? Lets trade him to Madrid, in exchange for Samuel. :extatic:

I cant imagine how good it'll be for us, if he ends up with one of our Champions League opponents from the La Liga. :D

Respect for a player who contributed to our success in the 1990s, which included red cards and rough tackles.
Forza Montero. :touched:

He may have driven me nuts to watch in the past couple of years, but he's given a hell of a lot to us over all the years he's been with us. Forza Montero! May we see you continue to do great things for team Uruguay.
