Just saw the last 15 minutes but he wasn't wasteful with possession and had a powerful shot.
Just saw the last 10 minutes and he did ok,he even had a pretty good shot on goal;).

So Mali is out of the ACN. Any idea when Sissoko will be available?
I pretty much saw the same amount of the game, and he did do well. According to the commentators he should have started. They were quite critical of Kanoute though.

I'm wondering the same thing; if he's available for tomorrow or not.

I'm pretty sure he won't be available tommorrow,he just travelled from Ghana to Turin and back to Ghana. I guess he will be at least on the bench for the next game in Serie A.

I think a lot of the negativity directed towards this transfer is because we have far greater problems in other areas. Our defensive play in midfield has been good all season long, so adding another defensive midfielder right now is wasting time. There are far greater concerns to address in our current side, especially in terms of creativity and a left-back. Those issues should have been addressed first as adding one more bench player isn't really going to make much of a difference here... while having a better left-back and somebody who can spark some good passes would make a difference.

That's why I was against the Sissoko signing this January. But nevertheless, I hope Momo can excel here and help us win some matches.
Agreed. Ok signing ( a bit overpriced imo ) but its not what we need right now so I just dont get? You watch one game and you can see we need creativity in midfield. I hope he does well and proves me wrong like Iaquinta did the first half of the season, but I still think we should have spend our money on adding some creativity or fixing our problems in defence.

actually i'd like to see him tomorrow on the pitch. from the time he played today he can't have gotten tired. he could take the plane tomorrow and at least take a place on the bench. and maybe have 10 min or so.

Gigli said Mommo's transfer was a strategical one, that means 80% that CR will be our coach next year. It seems that CR's favorite is calculated into our long run plans, even if he isnt a necessity now, that means that also CR himself is a part of our long term plans too. Otherwise the board wouldnt spend that unnecessary money now.
Gigli revealed our long term plan with these words! We better get used to it...
Since Mali is disqualified, i guess that Sissoko will be available Cagliari, a proper team to risk a new player!
I wonder if he will make it to the stands for the Inter match...

Zanetti is suspended for Cagliari so its Momo time!

Well at least we wont need Sali to play CM.

The reason I am so optimistic about Sissoko is Zanetti used to be a rash defensive mid like Momo but at Roma he excelled and refined his ability to make decisions on the ball and improved his attacking play. He also used to get a ridiculous amount of cards, even at Inter (almost a card a game at one point) but now he has improved this aspect of his game as well.

I think Momo will learn alot playing next to an experienced mid like Zanetti who has made himself a key figure in our team. Over time Momo and Nocerino will both go from being good DMs but with poor technique to good all round DMs

I hope he manages to start with Nocerino in the next Serie A game and do well. I think the move will not only provide him with a new focus and determination to prove himself but give him the security and calmness he needs to succeed, which he was not getting at Liverpool. The same as what happened to Zanetti when he came from Inter. These players thrive on confidence and continuity.
