then whats gonna happen to nocerino ?

then again, we all hated, well, most of us were against the iaquinta transfer.
the low expectations for iaquinta.
look at how he turn out to be 1 of our valuable assets.

look at tiago, almiron and the expectations from them.
and flops they were.

must it be a transfer we're against that the player will turn out good?

lol

You don´t have a clue.
Look, at least Balzaretti knows how to pass the ball and mark. Molinaro can't do either of the two, and the only asset he provides us is hard work. He really can't do anything else except run. These sort of players stay at the likes of Siena and Hellas Verona. Balzaretti was good for us in Serie B and had a ton of assists; his sale was remarkably stupid and our blind belief in Molinaro that he could somehow hold down the left-back role all by himself was even more absurd. Fact is, Molinaro was, is and always will be a mistake. Selling Balzaretti was also a mistake if we seriously thought Chiellini would play in the center and Molinaro could take that left-back role during his first season here.

That's really the end of that discussion.

I think a lot of the negativity directed towards this transfer is because we have far greater problems in other areas. Our defensive play in midfield has been good all season long, so adding another defensive midfielder right now is wasting time. There are far greater concerns to address in our current side, especially in terms of creativity and a left-back. Those issues should have been addressed first as adding one more bench player isn't really going to make much of a difference here... while having a better left-back and somebody who can spark some good passes would make a difference.

That's why I was against the Sissoko signing this January. But nevertheless, I hope Momo can excel here and help us win some matches.

....and undisputed.
Word.

I forget the number of assists Federico had in Serie B, but I know he had quite a lot for a fullback. We could certainly use some of that crossing nowadays.

Sissoko must be really unimportant to Mali seeing that they are playing for their survival in the tournament against Ivory Coast right this moment.

I would not be surprised at all if he made a couple starts in the center of the back line, it's really perfect for him if he can get the positioning down and learn to mark a bit better.
Perhaps, but he does have a tendency to make rash tackles, which is something we don't need back there. He would really need a complete overhaul of his temperment and ferociousness to be a centerback. I don't really see a point in trying him out there unless we have to.

I don't think it was absurd. The only thing Molinaro has done for us is lace the pitch with mistakes. Balzaretti has done far more than that guy for this side and that fact should be respected.
Agreed. Balzaretti was barely Juventus quality as it was, and yet when they moved him, they brought in someone significantly worse. At least Balzaretti can cross and can read the play better than Molinaro, you're right. If you bring in a coach like Ranieri who likes to build from the back up, why would Secco give him so many shitty players to work with and take away an effective backup?

As for Sissoko, it wasn't a smart move on the outside, but maybe Ranieri is fed up with Nocerino and wants him to spend some time on the bench. He wasn't ready for a full-time starting position and none of us figured he'd have it at the start of the season. If Sissoko can be an effective upgrade on Nocerino, regain his Valencia form, keep balls out of the net, and can at least pass the ball well to Nedved and Camoranesi to make something creative, then it might not be so bad. I'm actually looking forward to him playing so we can accurately pass judgment.

Well, I say give it a go....

A couple of years ago they were saying the same thing about Demichelis when he was making crazy tackles at DM. Now look at him, I think he's the best center back in the squad.
But Demichelis started out as a centerback at River, didn't he?
