To be honest he hasn't even added anything defensively in our games so far. I haven't seen any tackles or steals from him and he was also the one who failed to stop Sneijder from shooting the goal today. He's been totally useless.

He didn't add anything defensively last year. I know it might be horrific for some to think, but solid defensive displays don't always mean running around recklessly, tackling everything in sight.

The best DM's in the game know how to READ THE GAME.

Sissoko, clearly, doesn't have that ability.

I doubt he has any footballing abilities at all.

Maybe the coach just tells him:

See this? It's a ball, it's round, soft, it bounces. Your mission is to run after anyone who has it and take it away by any means necessary.

See the guys in black & white? Those are your teammates, you don't attack them, ok? you try to send them the ball with your feet, not your hands, your feet, and only to them and no one else, you must also send it to their foots. Understood?

He obviously doesn't understands the second part.

Sissoko would be great in a team with talented players around him capable of holding possession. This is not the case with Juventus.
Any team that requires a lot of possession would find out Sissoko would be detriment to their cause.

A side like Barca would much rather have a Poulsen instead of a Sissoko. And no, it's not because they're racists.

Sad part is that it's probably true.

Any team that requires a lot of possession would find out Sissoko would be detriment to their cause.

Picture him at Barca for a second:

Puyol to Pique, Pique to Alves, Alves to Messi, Messi to Iniesta, Iniesta to Xavi, Xavi to Iniesta, Iniesta to Maxwell, Maxwell to Xavi.

*After repeating the process 241532632646 times*

Xavi has the ball. Xavi: "shit i'm tired, everyone's marked too, what shall i do? i dunno i just want this to end so i can go jerk to gay porn" Wait a minute, what's that? Sissoko!! and he's unmarked!. I shouldn't pass to him though.. Oh what the hell, there's only 2 minutes left anyway".

Xavi passes to Sissoko.

Sissoko receives the ball, he seems perplexed. "What's this round thing? hmm, i thought i was just here to run and jump. Well, i think i should take this mysterious object to my master.

Sissoko grabs the ball with his hands, penalty.

Xavi: Momo for fucks sake :sergio: , you're a retard GTFO.

In all seriousness, his place is anywhere except a football pitch.

I love how people are so quick to make excuses for him. If he had "talented" players around him he wouldn't really be needed because they wouldn't need sissoko to keep possession in the first place because they are already "talented".

Since I am on a roll here I will go out on the limb and say he would be counter-productive to a possession driven team due to the shear fact he losses possession so easily. He really is a fart in a skillet.
