No doubt, Lou has said some ignorant things about homos( thats probably what insulted you:D ) but nobodys perfect, Seven has a long list of warnings and abuse and that is probably what it came down to when Z banned him.

Whatever, i just think Z was fair in his banning and i respect any man who doesnt sit and watch as a bystander when he has got the power to do something.
Nice post, TonyMontana. FWIW, people should never be banned for beliefs. Only for actions.

Granted, state your own beliefs in such a way that can be a major poke in the eye to others in what is essentially a religious thread, and you're basically emulating Dan's avatar (which I love, btw ). There aren't always very clear lines not to be crossed in this area, as some people will take offense to others who plainly state their own, completely contrary beliefs. But that's what forums are good (and often bad) for. Yes men get dull faster than Rainforest Liu's pregame reports three days after the match has ended.

As others have pointed out, I've never advocated banning Seven on the basis of his beliefs -- despite some of the many controvertial ways he has of expressing them at times.

But what clearly does cross the line are insults of other forum members, account misuse, etc. Again: actions, not beliefs. And from what I can gather here, Z had more than legitimate grounds for a ban on that basis alone. (And saying member xyz said something similar and didn't get banned is hardly a defense -- though fairness and equal treatment is critical.)

Discussions about religions and Politics have mostly no sence because nobody can convince somebody else, that all what he had belived on are wrong.

Religion or belief of a human is based of one of these 2 ways:
1.A person who grew up in a region, country etc. belives in the religion of his family and people of his region. With the time going on he feels like he had choosen the right religion and feels to be lucky to have his religion or beief. This is the case in regions where religion is deep-rooted in the region (Example, islamic countries or strong catholic regions). These people often do not thing about the plausibility of their religion.
2.There are other people, who think about the life, God, world etc. and create their own vision or belief (this is the case in non strong catholic regions of Europe for example). This vision is created after a lot of thinking and took a lot of time, so that it is very strong in that person.

In both cases, it is not easy to convince these people that their religion or belief is wrong. And these people are getting pissed off if somebody talks in a bad way about his religion using insults.
I know that there are some people who love to “talk” about religions, but the way this “talk” has been done in this thread is not acceptable. Some of the users are using word like “shit”, “fvck” etc. while they are trying to declare their opinion. This is leading to trouble and problems like we have here.

We are all adults and should behave respectful with each other, specially when we are talking about such a sensitive topic like religion.

Broseph, he does belittle people relatively subtlely, and I think it is a joke.

I think we should have Marty call for his resignation.
Examples? Im honestly seeing words flying around Zlatan and it is frankly people writing cheques they can't pay. Its not just you, but alot of people on the forum. If you are talking about Zlatan saying ' who the hell cares ' in Andy's how well do you know me thread, well yes It's slightly thoughtless, but im sorry to say you have to be a real pussy to let that effect you.

Marty, Swag, Zlatan and I reviewed this and agreed that the ban stands.

I don't think it's fair to say he was banned for what he believes. What he believes isn't a million miles from my own position on the matter - it's the language he couched it in.

As for what we found offensive? Well, I'd have to start with these two:
Fuck yourself in the ass, axlrose, I demand it!
I spit on the beliefs of catholics, moslims and whoever truly believe in something written down by man
Coupled with Seven's past behaviour - he's been warned about it many times, and the fact that we probably get as many complaints about his posts as everyone else put together, the two week ban has the full support of all active moderators (Graham being absent at the moment).
