Category: General

Luciano Moggi has announced he is leaving Juventus and the football world for good after an investigation into alleged match fixing.

“I am here to inform everyone that on Monday I will resign as director general of Juventus and that from now on football is no longer my world,” he told Sky Italia’s cameras.

“I no longer have the desire nor the strength to carry on. These people have killed my soul. All I’ll focus on now is defending myself against so much bitterness aimed in my direction.”

The controversial transfer guru’s telephone conversations were taped by public prosecutors for several months and have sparked an investigation into alleged match-fixing and collusion with referees.

Many heads have rolled over this scandal, such as the entire Juventus Board of Directors, the FIGC President Franco Carraro and Vice-President Innocenzo Mazzini.

Today another high-profile figure stepped aside, as the President of the AIA – Italian Refereeing Association – Tullio Lanese has suspended himself from his post “with immediate effect.”

Although nobody has been charged and the investigation is on-going, the worst case scenario could see Juve docked points, stripped of titles or even relegated to Serie B if the allegations are proved.

Source: Football Italia

Is it ok in this forum for members to insult each other?
    because i can do that.

Moggi is an Idiot for putting the club in this situation. That's my opinion.

At first I thought Moggi and the rest were guilty and should be locked up, but now I'm going to wait until all of the facts have come out. You cannot always believe what you read in the media.

moggi can save his skin (maybe too smart for the prosecutors) but the weak point of moggi is his son (who is in big trouble and novice in the business).
won't surprise me that he will go down to save his son.

Hey,Marty,so called administrator.Did you ever heard in your life something thats is a law in every country and says" Evereyone should be presumed not guilty unless proven otherwise" (with facts beyond reasonable doubt) .How ,please, in this moment you know that he is quilty.By seeing in a crystal ball?.
You better should say thanks to Moggi for lot of hard work and winning titles, both with the squad and other officials from Juve.
What a nice way of thinking. When things are okay, than Moggi is a transfer master and gury. Now ,we have to hate him.For what. For some stupid allegations, never proven?
Please, your point says that mices get out from the boat first .
And,Marty, please do not replay-repeat the columns from the original Juventus site.It is so pathetic.

This is for all who are blaming Moggi for everything.
We as supporters must support him ,because otherwise we will show that we won all scudettos not because we were best ,but by paying judges.
Did you read what Berlusoni stated(the most honest person and biggest respector of the Law in Italy who is every now and then interogated for moeny laundering and tax evasion). He says that two last scudettos should be returned to Milan insted of Juve.
Of course. And last years match when we win by goal of Treze on May 8 was also with help of Collina.
So stop making this kind of remarks.Show little loyalty.

Forza Juve ,nessuno come noi !

When Moggi bought players at good price, and juve won title after titel you(theoldlady) like him.
Yes i did like him but if i know he would put us in this place i would've not like him at all.

And if I have to chose between not being in this crappy situation where the club reputation is under question and between not having Moggi with everything he done for the club, I would chose the first with no hesitation.

Yes i mean no CL finals no Titles and no Nedven....etc.

At first I thought Moggi and the rest were guilty and should be locked up, but now I'm going to wait until all of the facts have come out. You cannot always believe what you read in the media.
You know what? every single Juve fan on earth were waiting for him and the entire board to lie or just simply say NO it didn't happen. All they had to do is to just say: it didn't happen and I promise you we all would've believed them even with Moggi's history.

But they didn't, instead they shut their mouths and resigned. and when he talks he said i am quiting football??? A lot of good that did us.

If he is innocent what the heck is he waiting for? the All mighty to come down and clear his name for him?? You don't just shut up like that against all these accusation if you are innocent.

Well said theres a famous saying.. "who are we to judge", let the outcome be decided and then will decide who was right and who was wrong. I dont think anyone can say 100% that Moggi did do it but at the same time no Juve fan can say he didnt do it. Let the facts unveil.. weve had some interesting situations coming through recently. I was suprised with capello 'backing' moggi up, if anything the staff and people close to moggi may know a better story than we do, for the moment all we are faced is with the press and our presumptions.

    1. He has been proven guilty. His phone was tapped.
    2. I'm not a so called administrator, I'm the owner of this site.
    2. How is it pathetic to recap news from official sites? That's what news sites do. This allows for serious forum discussions as the news is credible and official. In this case the news is from Football Italia but I suppose you mean the other news posts.
