Category: General

Luciano Moggi has announced he is leaving Juventus and the football world for good after an investigation into alleged match fixing.

“I am here to inform everyone that on Monday I will resign as director general of Juventus and that from now on football is no longer my world,” he told Sky Italia’s cameras.

“I no longer have the desire nor the strength to carry on. These people have killed my soul. All I’ll focus on now is defending myself against so much bitterness aimed in my direction.”

The controversial transfer guru’s telephone conversations were taped by public prosecutors for several months and have sparked an investigation into alleged match-fixing and collusion with referees....

good points wrong attitude,
the personal insults werent needed or tolerated,
no court has proven Moggi guilty yet,
on the contrary he was prooven innocent at the first time those transcripts were heard and put under a serius trial (not Berlusconi's Media trials)...

I'll miss moggi. He wasn't the greatest role model but he got the job done. I no this isn't the way he wanted to leave Juve but Goodbye and Goodluck, I think you'll need it.

    1. He has been proven guilty. His phone was tapped.
    2. I'm not a so called administrator, I'm the owner of this site.
    2. How is it pathetic to recap news from official sites? That's what news sites do. This allows for serious forum discussions as the news is credible and official. In this case the news is from Football Italia but I suppose you mean the other news posts.
Actually thats not accurate. He has been accused still not proven guilty..
To prove Guilty is something the court will do. The phone calls published do not contain 100% illegal matters. There might be some fishy or controversial parts but nothing to prove him guilty. They will need much more evidence.
Him resigning was something wise. The target of the investigation is not Moggi, rather its Juventus, hence the timing of publishing the phone calls. Moggi resigned so he can deffend himself on better grounds. If he is not related to Juve he won't be so in the war. Which is also why Buffon was accused for illegal betting just before the last match in Bari where he had to be in a different city for his hearing.
It is clear that someone is behind this whole thing.. Someone who is desprately seeking a silverware :D ... I would be one hell of a coincidence that Last year's Zlatan ban was 3 matches rather than 2 to miss a particular game, or Cannavaro's video to be viewed in the final stages of the season whent he race was at its peak. And this season nothing is in the air till juve start losing points and "other teams" get knocked out from "other competitions" so the race got tighter and came alive.. And then a club's owner who is also well connected and not so clean himself claims that he wants this and last season's scudetti for his team... Coincidence isn't it :disagree:

Anyway, Moggi's hearing yesterday went well (so I've read). Still many more will come, but its a good start.

the prosecutor who ordered to tape moggi conversations last year didn't consider it as enough to prosecute moggi.
    don't know why

Actually I think they're not allowed to use that in legal cases.

Come to think about it, would have been kind of cool if Moggi offered himself to Inter :D.
Moggi offering himself to Inter and Giraudo to Milan. I think we would not have even heard of any of these accusations.
