I don't think either Gilardino or Cassano is much needed if we keep Mutu and Trezeguet, so no need for big signings....

The biggest mistake is change in the forward lines. Our only problem was the middle and one talented midfielder is enough to fix it. As for the defence it is great but the addition of backup won't harm for the future. I've been saying this for a long while now but people want to sell Del Piero and Trezeguet and get Gilardino, Cassano, 3 midfielders, 5 defenders and 2 backup goalkeepers.
