Late one-two. He's either late with the return short pass or the other Juve player didn't open up on time. Then Mirko finds himself surrounded and simply refuses to just gift the ball. So he tries to dribble

We play that a lot It's always with Vucinic because it takes a technical and yet imposing figure in the box who can protect the ball and play that one-two. Matri does it too, but not often. Borriello tried a couple of times but he has a really bad touch so it doesn't work. Quag isn't the player for that so he doesn't even try it.
Conte seems to insist on it, even though it doesn't work all the time. But with the bunkers some teams play, it's a good way to create space and attract 3-4 defenders on one of our players so the other Juve attacker and the midfielders get more space to run into the box or get a free position to shoot from just outside the box.
