IMO, we should play 3-5-2 even with him on the pitch, not 4-3-3. We are playing him like a No. 10 as a creative attacking midfielder, which he isn't although he is doing a decent job in that role. He is not agil enough to be an excellent attacking mid. Although he is the only one in our front line who can dribble, his dribbling success is far from excellence.
His best match in Juve is against Milan playing as a tip. Against Napoli he also played closer to the goal with Conte using 3-5-2. Before joining Juventus, his goal scoring rate was not inferior to that of Matri and Quagliallera of that moment (even higher than that of Matri). And I think the ability to score can only improve with experience and time (that's way there are many late boomed strikers). His touch, proteccion of the ball and passes in tight situation are better than that of Matri and would be useful if he is used in Matri's role in some matches. He is never used enough as a center forward to draw any conclusion that he is not suitable for that role anyway and quite the opposite against Milan he did really well and in his Lecce time when he was used as center forward he scored 19 goals in Serie A.
The problem is if he plays up front, no one in our team can create and do the trequartista role job that he is dong right now. IMO, we should find a proper attacking midfielder, someone with the class of Silva. It's much easier to finish than to create anyway. True, we have most shots in the whole league but a large porcentage of our shots are completed by midfilders and defenders, many of which are not exactly easy goal situations, unlike other teams, that their forwards have most shots. We have more difficulties in creating than finishing, IMO.
When we have a true No.10, Vucinic and Matri can rotate the role of center forward like Benzema and Higuain in Real and when necessary Vucinic can also play as attacking midfielder.
Til then. Meanwhile, playing 3-5-2 with Vucinic closer to the goal, might be a solution.
