:agree: i'd be very pleased if we get Vuci and use him as SS, and then try to get a strong LW.
Vucinic played prima punta in many occasions for Lecce and Roma (and he regularly plays it for Montenegro) so he's also an alternative to Matri. He can play everywhere in attack and he's an excellent striker. The problem is his inconsistency which also results with a small number of goals (his maximum in serie A is 19, but that was a one time fluke. His Serie A average in the last 4 years is "only" 11 goals per season).

What I like the most is his ability to play the ball. We lack so much knowledge in our team. With Pirlo, Vucinic and hopefully at least one wizard with the ball, we should finally start playing football and combine well in midfield and especially in the final third.

It would be cool if we buy Cassano too instead of Rossi. :D

Let's be honest.. it's a bit lame our board had to name-drop some of the best strikers around, but if we end up buying a CB, a proper LW and Vucinic as striker, we really can't complain about our mercato. If all this were to happen, we might not have bought a star, but a lot of needed reinforcements making our side rather complete and competitive, more so than by splashing the cash for just a striker.

I am still not sure if we are playing 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, therefore I don't want to comment on Vucinic as SS another buy for LW.

    He will not.

It will not be a flat 4-4-2 and his position will be more offensive. Tactically wise he'll play the same he'd play in 4-3-3 so he alone will be a good buy and he will add a lot. On the other hand, our defensive game will take a low punch for such offensive game considering we only have Vidal to run, if he's alone (and he is) next to Pirlo.

    :agree:

If Conte has Krasic and Vucinic pressing high up the pitch, his defensive frailties won't come into play.

Vucinic will do outstanding here and it'll weaken Roma alot in my opinion.

Sky just guessing shit as always, but it seems obvious he won't be used on the LW.

I read somewhere (Bleacher Report?) how (based on friendly indications) we still need a SS to go with Del Piero as Quagliarella isn't compatible with Matri and will challenge for the same shirt. Not that I particularly agree as I haven't seen enough, but it's a possibility. Still, the requirement for an experienced and quality LW remains in this case.

Roma did great in getting Lamela, however, if Roma replaces Vucinic with Nilmar - They'll get the best out of this deal.
