Not arguing if Krasic dived intentionally but isn't it the referee's fault for awarding the penalty in the first place? This talented player just comes in, gives some positive entertainment to this league, dives once and is banned for two matches? What a great example the Italians are giving to the world. Now they will wonder in a few years why foreign players are reluctant to come to Italy and why there is no talent left in the bloody peninsula because they will just keep doing a horrid job of giving local talent a chance. Heck, did these hypocrites forget that one of the main reasons Italy had won it's 4th World Cup was because of a dive? I admit that I support the Italian NT but facts are facts.
It's pathetic considering the fact that I saw too many players to name diving and getting away with it. The correct decision would have been a one match ban at most and the referee sent for an optical check (heck, while at it, do a weekly optical check for all referees and linesmen). This also shows that changes need to be done about how the rules are enforced during the game.
