Its a lost cause. Xabi Alonso couldn't make this midfield run.

The fact that Ferrero was chosen instead of Zebina would mean that LDN has absolutely no faith in him. I think a contract termination is a strong possibility if nobody wants to sign him.

I've been thinking the same thing. There isn't enough time left to sign all the players we should be getting after the board spent so much time chasing Dzeko.

We should be prepared to still see players such as DC, Grosso, Grygera and maybe even Tiago thanks to an amateurishly executed transfer campaign.

Nobody here knows how much we have to spend, we're all full of shit in that department.

A lot of people using Pepe and Whorehay to make estimates but the club haven't come out to say anything so it's all speculative.


My guess is that there's ~20M left plus a Left Back

Totally agree. If we sign quality (other than Krasic, who's got a year left on his contract), then we'll very likely be overspending. Teams want an opportunity to replace players that leave, and with two weeks to go, that doesn't leave our trade partners much time to find replacements. To find suitable replacements, they would likely have to overspend themselves...

Yeah, well I'm going to give Beppe and DN the benefit of the doubt, that they have an idea of who they want. That doesn't mean they'll get who they want.

And we knew we needed a LB, CM, CB, RB, etc. etc., when we bought Amauri, for example. And we had the top two goal scorers in Serie A when that happened...

Just because it makes sense to you, or I, or whomever, doesn't mean that's the team's plan. I think that the Krasic transfer is probably going to go through... but other than that, I don't really see any strong links, and most of the players we have been linked to will certainly not come cheap. We seem to be targeting players in their early/low mid 20s (thankfully), and most of those players aren't going to see their values diminish if their clubs don't sell this summer.
