    In depth introduction right there.

So no Dzeko for a 19 year old kid? Can't see it us using the non-EU slot in this way, even if he is talented. Who knows.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]Juventus have made their first signing for 2011-12 with the reported capture of Serbian defender Milan Milanovic.

Reports this morning suggest that the Old Lady have netted the 19-year-old from Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow.

The Under-21 international is out of contract in March and Juve will only have to pay around €400,000 in compensation to the Russian giants.

Milanovic, who is admired by Juve’s Serbian winger Milos Krasic, will thus arrive in Turin during the spring.

Once he has touched down, Juventus will monitor his performances in training before deciding whether to keep him for next season or loan him to a club in Serie A or B.

Marotta is not an idiot. Surely, he will be ours in some certain way that he’s not our only non-EU. For example, make Siena sign him, then we sign him the year after.

Why should we pay anything if he's out of contract?

It makes sense if we pay something to get him in January, just so we can loan him to another Italian club and get him as a non-EU next season. But if we get him in March then we can't even loan him and he won't be available for next season because there is no way we will use the non-EU spot on him.

He's in Lokomotiv Moscow's youth team. He doesn't play for their senior team.
We actually might get him for the primavera. In that case he's not taking a non-EU spot, right?

    Yes.

BTW you pay compensation for players who are 23 and under who leave on a free transfer, for their 'schooling'.
