The game was very entertaining although the result isn't pleasing. We played horrible in the 1st half and seem to be a bit better in the 2nd.

First Milan goal (Sheva seemed a bit selfish as he could easily pass the ball to Pippo, but it got in at the end anyway so everyone is pleased ... not we of course :D ) was scored as a result of a total defence kaos. Montero firstly missed Sheva and then also got stucked with Gigi on the ground so that the letter couldn't reach for the ball nor could get up quickly to get back into position. The situation seemed a bit worrying as Milan was pushing and already scored a goal soo quickly. There was aslo a dilemma about Pippo being in off-side position when Rui passed the ball to Sheva, but ... :mute:

But we have Pavel Nedved there to save us! Gattuso (who else  .... BTW how many fouls can a player made in Italy before he gets a red?!?) made a foul on Zambrotta a bit outside the PB on the left side and Neddy took the free kick. It went right in although tacchi touched it a bit ... I would still give the goal to Nedved rather then to Tacchi and definitely not to Tudor as it turned out at the end!

Soon another Milan goal followed! Pippo! :touched: It was a sweet goal and damn it where does he find those tiny spots of space to get the ball into the net (in this case, right through Gigi's legs when he was partly kneeling)! :D Wonderful! I was happy he scored, but he was not supposed to celebrate it :fero: Ohh BTW, someone tell Montero to kick the ball away rather then just watch it go into the net ... it wasn't moving fast, pretty slow IMVHO!

Anyway the 2nd half came and so did DP and later on Trez. Trez I didn't see at all and I think he didn't even touch the ball, but DP tried, was usually just brought down to the ground though. There was this one occasion where he got rid of 2 Milan players, by spinning around one time and letting them go into another direction ... pretty classy  We let by many opportunities in this half: Zala's great shot and Nedved's header denied by a nothing-goes-by-me-tonight-anymore Dida, DP's shot which unfortunately hit the head of Laursen and Davids badly coordinated shot.

Beside the defence, we were poor in offence as well. One man surrounded by Nesta+Maldini and the rest did not work. But who exactly could we play beside him? Noone. DP was saved for the 2nd half and Trez and Zala just wouldn't work. DV is out and so was Salas and that about covers our attack force. Maybe we could let play Trez first half and then DP and Zala together as the latter seems more in form than (sadly) Trez.

Nedved was good and so was Davids. Won quite a lot of balls and even managed to make a right pass here and there :D Camo tried, but it won't be a surprize if I say that the 1st leg was much better ;) Tudor ... ohh well, give him a place in defence please! There he can kick the ball away and doesn't have to worry if it won't reach our player. In midfield you kind of need to be slightly preciser. His partner Tacchi did much better. Ciro did his job and Thuram was slightly quiter than usually, but did OK.

Marcello Lippi wasn’t sad at all after the 2-1 defeat suffered against Ac Milan: “It’s a pity but you can lose matches like these. We come out from this match everything but weaker. We are now even stronger in our committment. They started the match with more fighting spirit, we lost too many balls. In the final part of the first half and in the second one we played well and Dida was excellent on Zalayeta and Nedved’s shots".

The run for the Scudetto is then still open: “Yes, without thinking about the result of Udine’s match between Udinese and Inter, we’ll be five points ahead of Ac Milan but we’ll have to fight. It would have been the same, anyway, even if we had won. The most important thing is to recover all our players”.

Lippi gave his opinion also on Del Piero and Trezeguet, who got in during the second half: “Del Piero and Trezeguet are recovering from some injuries and they couldn’t play the whole match. But in a short while they’ll reach the best condition. It’s important to have all our champions for the final part of the season. After the pause, Champions League will be back and all the three leading teams in Serie A will play it. Let’s hope to start again winning from the derby and to have all the players available”.

look what Internazionale's Cuper said after our defeat against Milan:"The result doesn't change our situation. We have to continue to bet on ourselves and to try and win every game. A Juve victory might have created a few more problems for us, but the Bianconeri didn't win and so any other result was fine."

u'll face another Bianconeri tommorow MR Cuper , be ready !!.

I know you like Sheva and all that but he has lost form and also when you have a team with a lot of skilful players the last thing u can do is play 2 out and out strikers

Look at Real Madrid, Arsenal and Milan , the way it works well for them is to play a striker and creativity all around them so they play with one striker and one withdrawn striker

The only way for Milan to play with sheva and Inzaghi is to have 2 wingers who will besupplying the crosses and because they have players who lprefer to go thru the middle then you cannot play 2 strikers

That formation you put out there will give Milan huge problems

I should be a manager really , easy thing this managing lark:D
Denco,I'm sorry your managing career has to end like this:down:But , what can you do ,I wasn't lying when I said that Shevchenko will punish us,nor was I lying when I said that Pippo and Sheva, two out and out strikers could do this job great:D Milan as I have predicted are back in the scudetto race, and they will continue by beating Inter later:D Anyway it was not that bad for Juve, and there are still enough matches for Del Piero to win. With both my teams having played today, I really want to give Milan the scudetto and for Juve to take Champions League, I mean we won scudetto last year right:D
Anyway, future luck to both my sides:cool:

Milan has tought us something..... that is how to play with heart :)

Playing very comfortable with the team, keep the determination, good balancing in backline, midfield and forward and won!
They let us control the game (esp. In the 2nd half), but they didn't let us scored more goal.
I have to say that Milan was very solid in that match ;)
While Montero and our backline were messed up once again...and now by Milan strikers, Sheva and Pippo. Credit point for both. :)
Pirlo and Gattuso played very well too, I must say that Carlo was doing good to play them both in midfiled.
Well, that was a great match, Milan was close to perfect and they deserved to win IMO.
Like Christian Vieri, Paolo Maldini wear a shirt which has picture of heart on it :)
Good performance by il capitano Maldini on his 501 appearences in Serie A! :)

good first half for both team although first goal for milan was offside againest inzaghi ...

bad second half for both teams milan was playing boxing !!! not football ,,, and Del piero and trezeguet weren't that good because they are still short of match fittness especially for big encounter like this one CAMORENESI was really baaaaaaaaaad he needs to stay in the bench for 3-4 matches more ,, davids and tachinardi was the best in the team

??????
man what game was you seeing???? is totally worng what you said.

the first half was totally for milan, and juve only attacked in one ocation, and was a goal. Sheva was a real nightmare to juventinis defense. Players that palyed well this half were, camoranesi nedved buffon and tudor.

When delpi entered the match, thnigs were changing slowly,, juve ataking more, and the milan defence waiting for the attack.

at the end of the game, both teams were attacking,, was very interesting, juve had a lot of opoortunities but dida was ready for every shot.

Yeah, I agree with you on that, but when I saw the game, Milan play very well, they won't let us win again ;)
They had a bad record if they meet us, so that match has proven that Milan won't to see their team failed again..... no more lose or draw, it's time to win ;)
Juventus has played very good as well as ussual (but I'm very dissapointed with our backline  )
It seemed that the match was belong to Milan, and they deserved it IMVHO :)

terrible defence from juventus!!

this is the type of games that show that juve lack something in the back!
Tudor had a good second half when he returned to central defense!

Dida did a couple of impressive saves to deny nedved and zalayeta!

all in all the result was bad for us but we are still leading
and hopefully inter won't take all three points today against udine!

We definetly deserved more from this match .. Milan played better than us but only in patches .. at times we even looked more dangerous and controlled their midfield .. Dida did extremely well to save them from Zalayeta's close range shot and Nedved's header .. when playing, Del Piero was marked by 2 players (Simic + Nesta) but sometimes a third player even joined the marking which made it extremely difficult for us .. Trezeguet had an off-day .. Tacchi + Davids + Tudor were good in midfield .. but our defence looked shaky .. Buffon managed a great save from a corner in the second half, but was partly responsible for the bad clearance of the first goal ..

Anyway, we're still in a good position in Serie A - holding the first place - and we have already played Inter + Milan .. our remaining 8 matches:

Torino (H)
Bologna (A)
Roma (H)
Brescia (H)
Lazio (A)
Perugia (H)
Reggina (A)
Chievo (H)

I think we will only struggle against Roma (who are weaker playing away), Lazio (who surprisingly aren't that good playing at home than their travels) and Chievo (the last match, but let's hope that Scudetto would be wrapped-up by then) ..

it is just a game!!!!

it is over! we lost! but game is not over! we are still in the first place and we are the title favorites!!!
in two weeks is the milan derby and that should be our chance to create a gap as one of the two teams is definitly going to lose points! if not both (Draw)

That what I think:
Buffon: NOT as before

Montero and possoto should NOT play any more

Ferrara: doing ok but slow (he is 36 old)

Thuram: The best defender we have so far and was ok

Zamb: he isnt defender (nor midfield he just know how to run) and I think Brii doing better these days.

Tudor: MUST NOT play in CM and should play him as CD instead of Montero

Tcch: good player (I like him) and his shots but his control and passes crap

Camo: skilful good passes and movement but he a little bit slow

Davids: was good and we need him

Nedved: he good but no way he is a playmaker and thats what we do realy need

Trez: I dont rememer I saw him last night (that his type) witting the ball.

DP: did not get alot of passes but he tried.

Zala: played alone first half (what is Lippi thinking he is??Makay, Trestan) he is not bad especially his movement but he cant score
