I'm sorry, I just read this thread today (I'm still new u know)

BUT, I was amazed by what did he (walu_ex) said about davids and Gattuso.. were you drunk when you wrote that sh*t...?

Gattuso is more like a rugby player.. or a boxer.. he is anything but a football player.. and you (walu_ex) compare him to davids (world class player)..? man.. you really need to see more football matches..

about what you said on your stupid superiority thing.. the guys above did well defending juve, i might add this,

-Imagine that there will be a vote on who is the best team in Italy in the last century.. who would be that team.. milan..!!??  or JUVE.. :thumb: ..?
I would like to hear your answer.. give reasons

-more of the titles you hold had come by the legs of foreign stars..bought stars.. name how many italains u have is playing for the NT..? and compare it to juve's list...

the difference that we make superstars.. and you buy them..

you know ONE STAR is an acheivement... how about TWO STARS..
we are going to get the third one, and you are still dreaming of having the second one..

that's all..

PEACE..

Milan friends,

Milan did not WIN CL. It was a draw. So don't hynotize yourselves with craps like "we are better that's why we won the trophy"

And pls don't regard yourselves as European Champion.

Wake up!

Something which no one mentioned yet is that prior to the CL final, Juve had already won the Serie A title. So for Juve not winning the CL final, didn't mean it would have been a disastrous season.

For Milan, if they had lost out on the penalties, everyone would have said they had a terrible season.

So for Juve, winning the CL would have been just a bonus; for Milan, winning the CL was too important, and basically was just a thin line between failure and success.

Well if you ask me, i dont think that any match should be decided by a penalty. Because its mostly based on luck.

BTW... In the final, it could have gone anyway... Remember Conte's header on the bar?

And let's not forget Inter-Milan's last 10 mins of the 2nd leg, where Inter were very very close in scoring at least twice.

Walu Ex.....let me put it this way.

Milan has shitloads of talent in the squad. But really...whats the point? It's all spent talent anyway.
You can make all the comparisons you want to make yourself happy in believing each one of your players are more talented and skillful than the ones at Juve. But dont forget, there is no "I" in team. Its all about teamwork. And thats the only thing that counts on the pitch. Mentality! Juve's mentality is unmatched. And their spirit? Undying!
So, while you may have Sheva (the guy who does all the dirty work up front for his partners) and Pippo (yea the same guy who keeps singing "I blv i can fly" till he falls flat on the pitch everytime he tries.) Dont forget, its how they work together, that ultimately counts. But that hardly ever happens, which explains why poor Sheva takes all those fluke shots by himself from outside the "d"!
You talk about preferring CL to the Scudetto. Well, ask your Rossoneri stars what they want to win this season? And you guys have won 6 CL titles, thats great. And what has it been 9 finals that you've been in? Thats an excellent record. And us? 7 finals, 2 titles. Well, when it comes down to the night, trust me its all about luck. Nothing else. I would have said that same thing even if Juve had taken Milan on penalties. One night can go either way. If ever the CL final is made a 2 legged affair, god help your 6 title record by an Italian team. Coz the way i see it, that record may just be smashed by none other than the BIANCONERI. Thats not to say that it wont be even if it remains a 1 leg final. Its nothing but a matter of time.
You've even had the tenacity to question our progress to the finals of the CL? When instead you should be thankful to us. For single handedly getting rid of all the strongest opposition in the tournament. Can you even picture your beloved Rossoneri do that? No, of course not. Because it would take more than one night to do that. And before you question our run to the finals. Look at your own route to the final. An away draw with Ajax. Only to edge them at home in the 90th minute? Then came Inter? Any talk of superiority on your behalf should stop right there.
Then you talk about us being humbled twice by Manchester Utd. With all due respect to the Rossoneri. I dont think the multi millionares would even have the balls to show up on the pitch when hit by flu like we were.
So quit with all your arguments about Milan being better than Juve. And Juve not being good enough to play Milan anymore. And about a glorious past and bright future. Hell, you've even been relegated with all that money. And tell me you dont see that bright future with Rivaldo and Cafu!!! LOL.....!
Btw you've named this thread incompletely. Fill in the blanks and you'll realise. Milan is still better than Bologna.

PS: This is the real truth about your CL final glory. Eleven meters -Thats all that could seperate the champions of Europe from the champions of Italy.

Yeah and how can Juve from first go to 6th place (behind Barca and Real Madrid who they defeated).

I think a fair assesment would be that the top 5 teams should be those teams that arrived first in the 4 major european leagues + the CL winner. In that case Juve would be either first or second as they arrived first in their own league and in the final of the CL.

Barca being in the top 5 is a big joke.

Good luck in Serie, you're not quite ready to play with the big boys in Europe.
Which is of course why we made it to the final in the Champions League after beating Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Whereas you beat Ajax (a group of unexperienced youngsters and you still found it VERY difficult) and Inter who you know better than any other team on earth. *easy*

Get your feet back on the ground or be quiet, man!

Milan only had one tough group in the CL last season, and it turned out quite easy considering B. Munich were not passing through a good period.

Juve had two tough groups, especially the 2nd, where they played against Man Utd and Deportivo + the surprise team of the tournament + they had to face utd in the circumstances everyone knows.

From the quarters onwards, we definitely had the toughest draw, playing against Barca and R. Madrid who are 100 times better than Ajax or Inter.

I bet you whatever you want, that Milan would have never made it past those 2 teams, especially if they played the way they did against Ajax and Inter.

Throughout the world we won praise for our innovative attacking football, and there were even suggestions that the Azzuri would imitate our tactics.
You're also thieves ;) That tactic is something Real Madrid has been using since last season, and whenever someone uses it, they say 'that team is playing like Real' in the sense of 4-2-3-1.

Don't take credit for something it's not yours.

Final note. Overall in the season, we were the better team, period! We were more consistent than you and that`s what wins leagues. Cups are won by episodes and it's not always the best team that wins it. Same thing happened to us...in 95/96 we were inferior to Ajax yet we won, in 96/97 and 97/98 we were better than Dortmund and Real, yet we lost.

No offence walu_ex but you have no clue...

We don't measure up to the top teams in Europe? You beat us on PENALTIES!!! All it took for that outcome to change was for us to score two more than we did and any ignorant juve fan could tell you Milan are not ready to "play with the big boys in Europe". And on top of that, who won the league? Had you not won the CL you season would have been a disaster. again.

I agree with you Martin.
If we had Nedved and Davids we would have beat Milan way before the penalties.
not only that we won the league twice in a row, we had a lot more points than Milan (in both years!)

You really weren't better throughout the season.

We had the best start in Serie A, and were crowned winter Champions. Throughout the world we won praise for our innovative attacking football, and there were even suggestions that the Azzuri would imitate our tactics.

We defeated so many big teams comprehensively, and qualified from our group stages before anyone else, even though our groups were among the toughest.
you guys had a great start i thought you were going to win everything, but as you said it that was all in the past, then you fell asleep and another teams took advantage of that, like juventus, who started to get better and closer to the league title, and you just let it happen. you are not the best in the world, of course this year all the rankings/media will praise you because you won the big one, but you didnt win it fairly, it was a draw. if youre better than us then why didnt you manage to score at least once in 90+ minutes you had? we were nedved/davids/tudor-less and you had your whole team and still didnt do anything. the team in the world that had the most sucessful season is only one: juventus fc. i think im gonna have to say it again because you dont seem to understand: we won the italian super cup , then the national league, dethroned the former european champions -disqualified unbeaten barcelona, and deportivo la coruña, and still managed to get to the champions league final . in that final we didnt lose, a champion had to be decided, and penalty kicks is just like throwing a coin in the air and whoever gets the winning side wins
