This article compares the stories told by Wilson (the officer) and Michael Brown's friend (Johnson). I personally can't help finding Johnson's account much more believable but either way, this much is absolutely true:

"Indeed, we might never get to the truth of what happened in those two minutes on August. But the point of a trial would have been to get us closer. We would have found out if everything we thought we knew about Brown was wrong, or if Wilson's story was flawed in important ways, or if key witnesses completely broke under pressure. We would have heard real cross-examination. We would have seen the strongest case that could be mounted by both the prosecution and the defense. But now we're not going to get that chance. We're just left with these Rashomon-like testimonies, a dead 18-year-old, and a shattered family."

Look, fact is, I don't think they cop needed to shoot him so many times. He shot him in the arm, Mike started going down. Leave it there.

There is no way that black eye witnesses would testify corroborating the officer's account of the incident in an open trial. The only way they can feel safe from retaliation is to testify in secret in front of a grand jury. It doesn't take much for a grand jury to hand down an indictment so the evidence and testimonies must have been so strong in favor of the cop that they couldn't even find involuntary manslaughter.

I think we did see "witnesses" breaking under pressure. They pretty much admitted to not even having seen what actually happened and just regurgitated shit they heard through the grape vine.

A shot in the arm won't stop you, especially when adrenaline kicks in. Moral of the story, don't attack cops.

Bingo, and this is in spite of all the media nonsense and Obama's crew coming after them.

These protestors are simply imbeciles, not going to lie.

A post on Facebook that I particularly liked:

"Race is going to be (is) the greatest issue of Generations X, Y and Z.

I've said time and time again that race is a man made invention created by the ignorance of our ancestors to feed a subconscious need for conflict that's been carried on the shoulders of each generation. Unfortunately it's now a real thing that needs to be addressed.

I've had the amazing opportunity to walk this earth and meet people of different ethnic backgrounds and not just my own. As such, I did not develop a mob mentality where I think of PEOPLE as US vs THEM and it gives me a clarity that some people can not have.

America has come a long way from Slavery and Segregation but institutionalized ways of thinking don't die as easily as people do. There is a system that's been created in our country that has poisoned our social views warped the way we see ourselves and each other. It's a system where justice at one point meant that lynching one black person was just as good as lynching another with no trial even if there was no evidence of their participation in a crime but now its poisoned all of us.

This is a system where Black people who can articulate themselves and carry themselves well are now seen as acting or talking white by other Black and White people.

It's a system were Someone cannot call a distasteful black person thuggish without being called a racist or an Uncle Tom and other black people are offended.

Its a system where racial profiling against blacks and latinos is argued for with crime statistics but no one recommends patting down white teenage males before they step on a campus even though that demographic disproportionately causes mass school shootings.

Its a system where black people can despise racism on one hand but then lump whites together in the same bag and use racial slurs to describe them on social media when something terrible happens in the world.

Its a lens where seeing black skin sends a signal to the brain that perceives that person as a 'threat' in the same way that the sight of a Swastika would put someone on guard. As such a person who is white and wielding a gun is likely to be shot once in the knee while a black counterpart is likely to get 6 in the face.

It's a system that created socioeconomic poverty in minority communities and has been carried by: a glorification of trashy behavior and a desire for short term materialistic possessions rather than the means of long term financial gain.

It's a system where The first Black President of the United States is told to 'Go back to Africa' by his colleagues and then they're mystified when someone calls them racists

It's a System where Sarah Palin and her Family can get into a street brawl and whites aren't bothered by it because they understand that Sarah Palin's family's action are their own and does not reflect anyone else; but if Barack Obama or Denzel Washington's family did the same thing every black person in this country would hold their heads in shame.

It's a system where an unarmed person getting shot and a Black unarmed person getting shot are two different things.

I cannot understand for the life of me why someone would want to be Pro-Darren Wilson. This man gunned down an unarmed civilian. Mike Brown was no saint, in fact I'll go as far as to call him thuggish after I saw that video. However 12 SHOTS? Police Officers are not supposed to act that way. They're supposed to be trained better than that. No Police Officer who has taken the oath to protect and serve and has gone through the proper training to do so, should want to be thrown in the same bag a a fuck up like him. Darren Wilson is the George W. Bush of Police Officers. Lets say he was a Surgeon who was doing an operation and he screwed up so badly that the person he operated on Died as a result of poor judgement, or panicking do we rally behind the Surgeon? Do other Surgeons put on badges that say "I am just like ______?"

Friends, Racism and Prejudice are not Beetle Juice. They don't magically stay away as long as we don't mention them. This is an uncomfortable conversation but since when are the conversations worth having make us feel safe and secure? I've held preconceived notions about women and Gay people before, and it was only AFTER did I have an honest conversation did my way of thinking expand. It's unifying and liberating.
We're fucking Americans are we really afraid of having a conversation with each other?"

He fired 2 shots inside the police car. When Brown ran away, turned around and came back towards him, he was told to get on the ground. He kept coming and the cop fired 3 or 4 shots and stopped. Brown still kept coming. He unloaded the rest of the shots. There is audio of the gunfire to support the time line.
