Look I like him too, and he's in our club for a while.. but let's be realistic - he's average at best, not a great passer and very poor and long shots.
If we can make 18-20M for him, it's a no-brainer.

he's a beast at best. he can dribble, tackle, pass and hold the ball, and also a pretty capable part-time winger to make some runs on the flanks behind the opponent's defensive line. if healthy, asamoah is a huge upgrade over either of sturaro, hernanes or pereyra. too bad about his health lately. if he's fit, he's a keeper.

Depends on formation.

If we play 4-3-1-2, James is perfect. If we play 4-3-3, James is perfect.

If we play 3-5-2, we'd need to modify it to have two more defensive CMs, and give James a free role behind the strikers.
