Dont want him starting, but he's a competent and solid player. I dont like when he tries to make Pirlo-like passes which he isnt capable of. Should just keep it simple always.

He works his ass off, nobody can say otherwise and that makes him quite valuable in midfield, but like Badass said.. he's a very simplistic player. He won't step his game up or do anything unexpected ( in a positive way ). I guess that's why we got him though, we knew what we were buying. Solid, can't fault him, but he's not my kind of player.

Still, for doing his thing and doing it quite well defensively.

I liked him, when he did his job and stopped trying to be Pirlo. He held the midfield shape well as the game went on.

My main problem with him his that he fails to use space when it is given to him...many times vs Bologna, he picked up possession with loads of space in front of him and instead of advancing with the ball and pushing up the team along with him, he hurries into a long ball pass, which hardly ever reaches its target. He needs to use space when it is given to him
