A Napoli reject at Juventus speaks volumes about where the suits want this team to be in the future.

He's the worst player who starts for Napoli.
But if we take the bad players from Napoli, they will become stronger by replacing them with better players and since they play in the CL, they will do better and thus affect Italian football in a positive way and consequently we benefit from it.

Michele Pazienza (born 5 August 1982) is an Italian football midfielder who currently plays for Serie A club Napoli.

A midfielder, Pazienza is signed to Udinese, but played on loan with Fiorentina for the 2006–07 season. Fiorentina purchased him in June 2007. During the winter transfer season, he was purchased by Napoli for a fee of 4.8 million euros. Pazienza scored a header in an away league match against Atalanta.
I love how that's the highlight of his career. :lol2:

I've only ever seen a few MLS matches, but the standard is lower than Serie A and Pazienza plays almost every match for one of the best teams in Serie A.
That's like saying well, Pepe starts for Juve, they're one of the best clubs in history, so he'd start for all the best clubs in history.

It is, because you're evaluating the league instead of squad by squad.

The LA Galaxy have Beckham, Donovan, Birchall and Juninho in their midfield, all of them important players for their side. No room for Pazienza. Even Red Bull has Lindpere and Taino running their midfield, sometimes Marquez.
