I think of players like Ronaldo or Hazard as "awesome". Bastos is good, but he isn't some amazing player, that's just trolling by MF Doomer.
No doubt about that.

At the same time some are terrified with this move, dunno why, he's not really bad. IMO he'd do well in here. It's just his price that can be kinda big.

I'm just not excited with having Bastos in a 4-4-2 that becomes a 4-2-4 at times. He's not going to set the league on fire and I'm not liking how Lyon are so eager to throw him away.

Bastos does fit in with Conte's view of "wingers cutting inside" though.

Bastos is decent. A massive improvement on what we have and I'd like to see him here. he's versatile and can put a good ball in. if we can get him for under 15m then let's do it. also I'm sure we can get drenthe for a few million as a solid back up. That would sort our left side out instantly

. Don't agree on Drenthe, however.

What we have is completely wrong. We shouldn't be making improvements like:

Conte over DN.
Pirlo over Aquaman.
Bastos over Marchi/Pepe/Martinez (two aren't LMs and the other isn't a football player).
Beck over Motta.
Ziegler over Grosso.
Fernando over Melo.
Rolando over Bonucci.

I'm pretty sure that with such an improvements we'll win the scudetto, let alone reach the third.

We shouldn't be using this year's system as a base to improve since over all the crap we have in the squad, half won't be here next season.

I like Bastos, he'd do a very good job here. He's not a top 5 left winger in the world but from what I've seen (which isn't that much to be honest), he is tricky, fast, has a very decent shot, works for the team and his stats back him up nicely. Overall a very, very good winger.

I'd rather go for Hazard, but it's not a Pepe that we are dealing with here. We need an exciting player that puts us on the limelight though, that's for sure, and that's why Aguero is a necessity. Beck and Ziegler will do a good job on the flanks and free up funds for exciting players up front.

Have you watched him play? Because I have several times and I think he is.
Not that much but i have seen some games from him but he wasn't "exellent" he is good player but to spend on him 10-12 mln E would be stiupid .

With that amount of money we should go for : Van Der Wiel .

Bastos is not bad
he has an good offensive capabilities and i think the Brazilian player better than Marchisio and Pepe when they play in the left wing role

but i hope Bastos isn't be one of the players which intended when Marotta said he want to bring two top player at least this summer
because Bastos isn't unusual player but he is good complement player to the group

Last couple pages has broken some kinda record in amount of peeps who have no clue wtf they are talking about.
But that is what happens when you discuss a player from Ligue 1. Most people don't take the time to watch those matches. Hell, there's some folks here that think Cissokho is an RB, or Gourcuff can play left-wing.
