That's right. We should just offer 25M straight away. That's the transfer fee that Lille have in mind, could maybe negotiate it down if we include a player for example, but show Lille we're serious and not like we're trying to rip them off like Inter.

If we act quick and show we're really serious, a player like Hazard could even prefer us over some clubs that plays CL next year. Also, if we sign him quick other clubs/coaches (Wenger) might say afterwards "Damn, we didn't know Lille was prepared to let him go already bla etc" like with Benzema. If a club asks 25M for a player, usually it means they'll agree for a bit less. Maybe we could get him for 20M but if he's worth it and it looks like it, then I say just pay what Lille wants even if it's 25M and not less.

I think Beck and Krasic on one side with Drenthe and Bastos on the other wise with Pirlo in the middle giving the distribution we all know he can do would be a pretty good line up. Drenthe or Bastos can play left back. Drenthe has always played left back with the occasional left wing for Madrid. Once Marcelo started playing left back he was shipped out to Hercules for playing time. Anyways There isnt any better Left backs that we are linked with anyways so If it means starting Im sure Drenthe if signed wont care playing left back especially if bastos is infront of him where they can easily over lap eachother and cause mayhem.
