Lyon wing-back Michel Bastos has reacted coyly to reports indicating that he will join Juventus at the end of the season.
The Brazil international has been earmarked as one of the players Lyon will sell this summer.
Interviewed by L'Equipe, he said: “I am not paying attention to these rumours. I am only thinking about my knee, my recovery and finishing the season with Lyon.
“As for the rest, my agent worries about that. We'll deal with my future later.”
It's thought that Juventus are preparing a bid in the region of €15m and €17m for Bastos.

I wouldn't mind with it if we had real quality back there. And a world class LW would allow us to look like a good team whatever the tactic (and even the coach) used. With Bastos we'd just look as average as we are right now. Check the differences:
Krasic - Aquilani - Melo (Masch?) - Bastos/Hazard
Quagliarella - Matri
Marchisio - Melo (Masch?) - Aquilani
Krasic - Matri - Bastos/Hazard
With Bastos we would be just too 'balanced' and predictable while with Hazard we wouldn't even need a great coach since a player like him can just turn out the things in a matter of seconds. Truly WC players are the ones who can support an average/nice team when their teammates are in bad phases and we lack (at least) one of these guys, for sure. IMO that guy should be a LW instead of a SS since a LW would do better in different tactics than a SS. I just don't see Sanchez, Rossi or Aguero performing their best in a 4-3-3 formation (as LW).
And well, if we haven't enough money for the WC player then Marotta should cut the "quality for this summer blabla.." talk.

I was hoping for someone who is Champion, not improvment for our currently player .
I was hoping for some kind of players : Neymar/Pastore/Sanchez , Van Der Wiel , Cissokho/Baines , Aquaman , Matri , Quagliarella .
But now its sure we wont get : Neymar/Pastore/Sancehz , and we will get Beck instead of VDW .

The great difference between a regular 4-4-2, a regular 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1 is the guy who links the midfield and the attack. From all the players linked with us, Pastore is the guy who suits better the 4-2-3-1. I see a lot of times people putting Sanchez, Aguero, Rossi, Neymar or Quagliarella in their dream 4-2-3-1 teams, but those kind of players suit much better the 4-4-2 imo.
Bastos is currently seriously injured (knee) with no guarantee that he would come back as he was. Even if he did, for a winger most important is speed, and approaching 30 years mark he will start loosing it, while Bastos is not known for his technique (exept shooting from far) he wont cut being slow, not a a wise investment IMO. Lyon sold us quite a few shit players like Grosso and Tiago, why should Juve buy another one?
