Like I said if we are going to keep Miccoli at Juve and if we bought Iaquinta than we are finished with shopping for the fornt line. It's really insane to think that Iaquinta will be Zala's replacement. He is starter at Udine and he is not that stupid to leave them to be replacement for the fifth striker. He will be our rotation (even I think he will be more than that, probably first team player) player and he will have a plenty of chances to play. Only if Zala, Trez and Boji leaves we should expect another signing for the attacking department and that would be probably some kinda of Zala type of player or youngester IMO.

He signed very well knowing that DP and Trez are still contracted to us .The whole situation with Trezz just occurd which is much after he agreed 2 join. Unless of course they negotiated with him saying that one of Trez or DP will b sold so he could expect a regular start

Or do you really believe that the other competitive teams dont have any reliable back up solutions?
Iaquinta isnt any better than Mutu, Salas, Di Vaio and many many other forwards that signed with us as alternative back up solutions.
Iaquinta at his age cannot find any better club than Juve, he is welcomed to surprise us and be proved the most useful third attacker ever, a real rotation player.
Ranieri is the kind of coache's that would try such a thing and i also have to remind you that we were never had lack of injuries and suspensions, if we wont to be competitive we need good back up, we cant afford to lose points here and there,
look at Milan's and Inter's bench, we have to compete with them too...


PS forget RM role for Iaquinta we have many many other solutions for this position, i hope that i will see a three man attack once in a while, esp against inferior teams that defend with 10 men...

Miccoli ain't no striker, he's a forward, like DP, Palladino and IAquinta perhaps. I don't knnow whether Hunter is actually our target. But we'll find out soon enough.

Current striking line.

Palladino, Del Piero, Iaquinta, Zalayeta, Miccoli, Trezeguet.

I'm sure we'll only rotate maximum of 5, so Miccoli might be used more in midfield, say for Camo's position.

yes I am. He might not be having a very good season, but remember nobody at West Ham is playing well. Plus having to play next to defenders such as Daily and Konchesky wh make Boumsong look good doesn't help. And Ferdinand is only what 19? you can't expect him to not make mistakes at this age.

Football didn't change dramatically over a year. The WC was in 2006, my friend.

Ferdinand is not a good defender. At least not yet.

Miccoli Accepts Return To Juve

The small forward played on loan in the past two seasons for Benfica in the Portuguese league, but will now be heading back to Turin.

After three long years away from the Bianconeri (one year with Fiorentina and two with Benfica), Fabrizio Miccoli will be heading back to Juventus as Claudio Ranieri declared that he needs the former international striker.

It will not be an easy return as there were some problems in the past between the player and the club, but the main problems were mostly with the previous directors and coach due to his Fiorentina transfer as his agent, Francesco Caliandro, explained to 'Radio Radio'.

"During the Juventus period, Fabrizio never had problems with the management.

"If there was a problem, it was when Juventus and Fiorentina discussed his co-ownership. And I stop here. The problems were not between Miccoli and the Bianconeri's management."

Therefore the player will be willing to re-join Juventus this summer.

"Last year he did not have any problem in renewing his contract, therefore I can only note down Ranieri's declerations," concluded his agent.

If we play a 4-3-3, this news can still mean we will get Huntelaar, let us say Trez and Zala will probably leave, that leaves us with DP, Palla, Iaquinta and Miccoli so then a player like Huntelaar can still join.
If Trez stays, we won't get him, that is certain but always has been certain.

If we play a 4-4-2, Palla and maybe even Miccoli might play as wingers and Huntelaar is still an option assuming Trez leaves.

Claudio Ranieri has called for Fabrizio Miccoli’s return to Juventus after his spells with Fiorentina and Benfica.

The former Perugia starlet was never expected to wear the Bianconeri jersey again following his public disagreement with the club, but the new Coach has transformed the situation.

“He is a striker we like very much and I am counting on him for next season,” confirmed Ranieri.

“The time spent in Portugal helped him in a time when Juve did not need his services. We have signed Vincenzo Iaquinta and I hope to count on Miccoli’s qualities as well.”

The 28-year-old ‘Romario del Salento’ has been at Benfica since 2005 and impressed in the Champions League for the Portuguese club.

His loan spell was set to be renewed, but Ranieri has made it clear he would make good use of Miccoli at the new Juventus.

“During his time at Juve, Fabrizio never had a problem with the directors,” added agent Francesco Caliandro on ‘Radio Radio.’

“The only issue was when Juventus and Fiorentina discussed his future. I will stop there. Suffice to say the problems were not between Miccoli and the Bianconeri directors.”
