We critisize Del Piero not because he didnt get to that pass, but because he plays like he doesnt give a flying fuck if we win or lose. And thats no way for a captain to play.
The midfield was useless and therefore took DP and Zlatan out of the game. It seems to me that in your view chasing passes that are going off and running up and down like a headless chicken is trying. What it really is is a waste of time and energy.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. I'm talking about the ball thatlike rolled a meter in front of Zlatan for 2 seconds that he could have gotten had he just stretched his leag. IMO he could have gotten that.
We might not be talking about the same thing. It was in the first half and Zlatan had drifted wide right. Emerson passed the ball ahead of Ibra into space but the Swede wanted the ball to foot and hadn't made a run. I don't think he could've gotten that.

Passing is a last resort for Zlatan. When he gets the ball his first reaction is to try to see how he can make his marker look stupid or how many defenders he can take on before giving away the ball. He'll pass if he's forced to, but how often does Zlatan control the football, look up and release it before seeing if he can dribble. Sometimes he still manages to get the ball to a teammate after wasting 20 seconds, but his colleague has been closed down and the opportunity lost. On occasions it makes more sense to get rid of the ball ASAP, Ibrahimovic doesn't seem to realise this.
Saying that he's a bad passer is just stupid. He shined with brilliant passes in mff, our NT and Ajax. So it all just stopped when he joined Juventus? Of course not. Its he's first season in one of the best clubs in the world. Its okay to be a little shaky. :stress:

Btw he's got 9 goals and 8 assists (don't see why shots that got tapped in shouldn't count) right? That's quuuuite good.

Worth to mention though he's first season in Ajax was baaaaad. But he got better and better and now he's in Juventus. The man needs the time. :stress:

btw: I read Aftonbladet.se a while ago that Capello told Zlatan to become more selfish. I'll edit this post when i find it.

Edit: http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/sport/story/0,2789,592946,00.html

Zlatan answered some questions from the readers of the newspaper Tuttosport. On the question if he should become more selfish in he's game he answered:
- Yes, I'm working on it. Capello says I should and that I should use my technichs and strength and shot more from range.

So the selfishness isn't entirely he's fault. :undecide:

zlatan never pass and when he passes he surprises his enemies who never expected that thing from him, the bad thing sometimes he surprises his teamates too:D
honestly now he is trying his best but his best are not enough, most of the times he has nowhere to pass so he keep his attention more to the def than his teamates

From what I've seen Zlatan isn't a good passer and I stand by that. I'm yet to see those brilliant passes that you say he frequently produced for Ajax and Sweden in Juve colours and no, in my view shots that were saved and then converted by a teammate on the rebound are not assists. That's almost like saying Kahn assisted Pizarro's first goal against Arsenal or that if you smashed a free kick into the wall, it fell to me and I volleyed it in you assisted me.

Ya on those i concure. :) But if you shoot and the keeper got problems with it which results in a goal I think it should be called an assist.

Zlatan is great in the Swedish National Team. He really shined in the Euro 2004. Too bad he missed his penalty against Holland. We deserved to go through... all those great chanses in the end...
But thats history. One day the 'true' Zlatan will show himself in black and white ;)

zlatan will become the next ADP for juve, if he continues to progress and produce moments of magic. He is the future of juventus, but he has to continue to improve and not get complacent. If he improves he has the attributes to become a cult hero at juve ala ADP.

he cant be vieri he isn't even italian :D

I think Zlatan has been playing sum shitty games lately. But thats because we don't have the sort of team that will make him flurish.

You see him on the pitch, and he tries to do too much, sometimes I see him lackking the heart and hunger. He doesnt pass because theres usually only him and DP up front.

Nonetheless he has shown us a bit of his capabilities, he lacks mobility thus for him to shine we must play a more attacking football, or put a pacy attacker as his partner, say cassano.

I wouldn't call it an assist. I'd say that you played a part in the goal. Would you say that Seedorf assisted Crespo against Man Utd? I wouldn't, nor would I say that Zlatan assisted DP against Bayern even though he played a pivotal part in the goal.
